"Hey Tengai, can I ask you for some help with something," Izaya asked. They were currently up on a rooftop, keeping an eye out for any crimes. He had school the next day, but Izaya couldn't bring himself to just stop vigilante business, especially when he could use the help of others like right now.
"Well it depends. What exactly are you trying to drag me into?"
"I know I've already made this clear before, but I don't have all my memories. At least not of what happened from when arrived to now and a year into the future. But I do remember some things. Vigilantes are people who take the law into their own hands, choosing the lesser of two heroes and helping others. So can I ask for your help with keeping some people safe."
"You're talking about that class of yours, aren't you. And why exactly should we help them. They're getting trained to handle villains and have pro heroes with them. You might as well as ask us to turn ourselves in."
"I'm not asking for much. Soon if things go the same way as they did in my world, my class will go to do some rescue training. While we are, the League of Villains will make an appearance and attack. But I'm not sure how things will turn out. I had convinced them to retreat when things started to look bad and your brother was there kicking ass. But this time, they might fight longer and more desperately. And unlike me at the time, those villains won't have a problem doing horrible things to the students. Just one or two people, and if you want then just step in if things start to look bad."
"Why don't you just tell UA."
"You guys may have been understanding, but it helps that some of you have seen some dark times. I wasn't the only one who had done bad things in the past but want to help people now. But the heroes and authorities will either try and lock me up, or if they do agree to work with me, they'll keep me under such strict watch. And they'll probably keep me in some safe house until they need me. Besides, there are more things that I need to do. I don't remember them all, but I know there are more things that I can prevent."
Taigen looked at Izaya and saw how serious he was. "Well you do make a point. We may not be heroes but we still feel that it's our responsibility to help people. We would be some pretty cruel bastards if we ignored this. I'm sure Cat can keep an eye on things, and I can use my portals to move myself and others around. I can see if Daichi can come and help. It should be easy for him to hide his identity after all."
"Yeah, tell him to go with something even more exotic from that zoo. I'm sure those animal buddies of his would be happy to help out."
"Well except for those monkeys. They seem to have a grudge against him," Taigen jokes.
Izaya laughed, all his former tension gone. Their fun was interrupted when they heard shouting and looked down to see a group of four guys robbing a corner store. Sighing, Izaya looked over to Taigen. "Hey, send me in and let me handle this alone. Deku got excited today so I need to relieve his battle lust or I won't be able to sleep with all his whining about wanting to fight people."
"So that's why you were so eager to come out today. Well, have fun." Taigen opened a portal and Izaya jumped through, appearing inside the store. The thugs looked at him, and Izaya had to admit he didn't look completely normal. He wore a hoodie similar to Monterio with the hood up, sweatpants, fingerless gloves, and a face mask. But Ai had seen fit to draw a small smile on it before he left. So here he was, a teeneager, looking ready to go to some wrestling match, and a childish looking face mask.
Izaya had his chain wrapped around his right hand under the sleeve, and he reached in and pulled it out. One thug swung his fist, but Izaya stepped to the side and stuck out his foot, tripping the large man. He began to get up, but Izaya just swung his chain down, using just enough force to knock him out. He then looked over at the other three.
