It was the day of the UA sports festival, and Izaya was with the rest of his class in the 1-A prep room given to them for the festival. Everyone was either chatting or mentally preparing themselves. But that atmosphere was momentarily disrupted when Todoroki practically declared war.

"Ooh, a declaration of war from the class's strongest," Kaminari muttered.

"I don't know," Jirou told him. "Michiya was able to beat him pretty easily, and remember the USJ. I think he's the one who should have the title of strongest in this class."

"Ahh it's not that big of a deal," Izaya said. "I've simply given it my all in honing my skills and have taught myself other skills. But I'm sure if Todoroki used his full power then he would be much stronger. Especially if he also worked on close combat and found creative new ways to use his abilities instead of straightforward attacks."

"Won't do you think you're doing," Todoroki asked. "I'm going to become a great hero using only my right side. And we're about to go against each other, so why are you trying to help your enemy?"

"What are you talking about. We're classmates, so why wouldn't I help you. I wouldn't be very cool of me if I didn't try to help you out. And you shouldn't limit yourself like that. You were born with that power, so you should use it to help elevate yourself to new heights."

Todoroki frowned and walked up to Izaya, who looked up from his seat, and lowered his voice so only Izaya would hear him. "Did my father put you up to this. You have similar quirks and seem to want to aim for the top, so I wouldn't be surprised if you went to him to help better yourself. In which case, he must want you to get me to use that disgusting quirk of his."

Izaya just smiled up to him, also lowering his voice. "There is no way in hell I'd do something like that. Your father may be the number two hero, but I see him for what he really is. A hot tempered fool who only cares about becoming number one and not about being a true hero. And what do you mean by his quirk? That fire you got in your left side, it's your power, your flames." Their talk was interrupted when an announcement came, telling them to start heading outside. As he got up, Izaya said one final bit to Todoroki. "I don't care about whatever daddy issues you've got going on. But don't let that grudge hold you back from your true potential."

Everyone from all the different first year classes walked out into the middle of the arena. ON the side of the field there was a platform where Midnight stood. As everyone walked out, Present Mic could be heard from the commentary box, announcing the arrival of the different classes. Though what he said for the arrival of class A was extra extravagant.

"Now pipe down everyone," Midnight said, silencing all mutering among the students. "We'll now have a word from your student representative, which is Izaya Michiya."

"Huh, it's you," Bakugou growled.

"Probably because he got the highest score on the entrance exam," Izuku told him.

"Highest in the hero exam," someone from general studies muttered under his breath, but Izaya heard him. He turned to look at the student, earning himself a scowl from them.

He walked up onto the platform and stood in front of the microphone that had been set up. He took a short bow before speaking. "Hey there, thank you everyone for coming out here to watch it as we give it your all. And my fellow students, let's give it your all. I can't wait to see who will be in the top spots with me." He received a couple of glares, but he also received applause. "And two more things. Everyone is making too much of a big deal about my class, especially the other classes. We didn't want to be attacked by villains, but it has turned into some big publicity booster." He turned around and pointed up at the commentary box. "Come on Mic, get it together. We are all students who are here to give it your all, my class isn't the only one who will prove to be amazing. Your announcement when the classes appeared wasn't very plus ultra." A small sorry could be heard through the speakers, making many people chuckle. "And finally, to those of you in the other departments who are trying to take our spots in the hero course. I know some of you will make great heroes, but failed to because of how combat based the entrance exam was. I wish you luck, and I hope those truly worthy will be the ones I will be seeing in my class and class B during graduation. Let's all be plus ultra!"
