(Continuing from chapter 77-Slow Love 2-It Ain't Over)

I pick up the ringing telephone showing Benny as the caller ID. Frozen in fear, I cannot answer it so I try to hand it over to my husband to see what's wrong with Chari and the twin girls. He looks at me, leaning back, hands with palms facing me waving in the air like the phone is a hot potato and won't take it from me. Neither of us wants to answer it so I go ahead and just do it, "Hello Benny. I hope everything is alright? Please...give me some good news."

Benny chuckles on the other end of the phone. "Gigi, I'm sorry to call and alarm you. I forgot to tell you they scheduled an ultrasound for tomorrow morning rather than the next day as planned. I figured you would want to be here so I called as soon as I remembered I forgot to tell you. I hope I didn't wake you?"

I sigh in relief, "No Benny, we just laid down, what time tomorrow?" "Ultrasound is at 9:00 in the morning. Dr. Abrams and the high-risk team will look at the ultrasound and discuss how she's handling the meds before they see her again just before noon. Do you think you'll be here?"

"Yes, we will be there. Thanks for letting us know. We'll see you in a few hours. Goodbye..." My darling husband is wondering what transpired. I inform him what Benny told me. "Sweetie, both of us need to quit expecting the worst. It's gonna wreck havoc on our nerves." Wrapping his muscular arms around me, "Come on, Mama. Let's get a short nap in."

After a few hours of sleep, we get up and dressed, ready for the day. Thank goodness the hospital is close by. We attend the ultrasound, I cannot begin to tell you the excitement of viewing them at this stage.

Dr. Abrams informs us both girls are doing fine and looks like the labor has subsided with no other indications of pre-labor. Chari more than likely was having Braxton-hicks false labor, but she wanted to confer with the rest of the team. She changed the Dr. visitation till afternoon so we headed back for a nap, we'll return for the afternoon consultation.

All the news was great. The team released Chari to go home but she is ordered to bed rest until the twins are born. She will continue with a twice-weekly ultrasound appointment. We offered to send over some extra help but they assured us their nanny and housekeeper should be adequate until her mother arrives from Texas in a few days. She's tying up loose ends and will be here as soon as possible.

I wish I was in better condition to go over to help her at least a couple hours a day until her mom gets there. I will call and check in on her, maybe I can get Bonnie to go over in my place. An assistant at work will bring everything over from the office so she will be able to do most of her job from her bed, 90% of her business is on the phone. Her executive assistant can handle the rest.

We part ways and head back our bungalow at the Beverly Hills hotel. "Sweetie, are you as exhausted as I am?" Looking at him endearingly while Kirk drives us back. "Mama, I had Bonnie and Nanny bring the twins over so they will be there when we arrive. I know you're anxious and missing them as much as I am. The girls are going to stay until midnight so we can catch up with them. Steve is coming along too and I ordered dinner will be served in our bungalow tonight. I want you to feel better having our family around us. Is that alright with you?"
