"OKAY Jess get out the car damn." Kamora said. Jess was telling another one of her drawn out stories, talking our ears off. I grabbed the handle opening the car door then looked out studying the house in front of us. It was pretty big but not huge. You could hear the music bumping from outside and see the lights that flashed in the house. Kamora and Jess were having their own conversation as we walking to the door while I adjusted the white denim mini skirt I had on. I made sure my red bubble jacket sat on my shoulders the right way also.

"Girl all I know is that if I don't get some alone time with Josh fine ass, this party gonna end real quick." Jessica said waiving her finger in the air. We reached the door to the estate and Kamora opened it walking in. As if right on queue the song "Welcome to the Party" by Pop Smoke started to play. Instantly the smell of alcohol and weed filled my nose. People were all around laughing, dancing, smoking, drinking, just having a good time. And I don't smoke, but I did not plan on staying sober tonight. We walked further in and a guy was approaching us.

"Heyyyy Kamora Jessica I'm glad y'all could make it." The boy said hugging them both. I just stood there awkwardly examining the dude. He was tall and good looking, had black and red dreads, from school I think I remember his name was Dom or something like that. "And who's this cutie," he then asked looking at me. "Wassup my name is Don." Don bitch not Dom. I mentally hit myself. "I've seen you around in school a lot actually but you really only stick with crazy #1 and crazy #2 I see." I laughed and both Kamora and Jessica smacked Don.

"Hey I'm Xia, nice to meet you" I put my hand in his and he took it up to his lips kissing it.

"Well seeing that both yo dingy friends already left you and you barely know my friends, I think Imma introduce you to a few people" he smiled. I looked around to see that Kamora and Jess really did leave me. Some friends I have...smh. But I laughed and accepted the offer. We walking around a few different areas of the house so he could introduce me.

"These three right here are Eli, BigO, and Shareef." I kinda knew who they were just not their faces. A few were really famous basketball players and kids of NBA stars, like Shareef. I shook all their hands.

"Well who is this?" Eli said flashing his white teeth at me. I noticed O whisper something in Shareef's ear then his eyes scanned me up and down while smirking.

"Hey I'm Xia, nice to meet y'all." I looked up at them and smiled. "I'm here with Kamora and Jess, you guys know them." Eli's eyebrows slightly raised at the sound of Kamora's name and the other two boys grinned at him. I'm assuming he has a lil interest in her.

Me and Don then approached another boy and Jess who were sitting on a couch very close to each other chatting up a storm. J was smiling like a kid in a candy shop. Both of their eyes went to us as they saw us coming.

"Oh hey Xi, this is Josh, Josh meet Xia." Jess said winking at me. I giggled a little to myself, so this was the boy she was talking about. He was good looking though, she ain't lie about that. But my bestie got him so I'm not interested.

"Nice to meet you Xia." He shook my hand never getting out of his cozy position with Jessica. They went back to conversating and me and Don walked over to where Kamora was with two other boys. Kamora was smiling harder than I've ever seen her before. Teeth damn near bout to fall outta her mouth. She played with her hair, which was something that she only did when she felt a certain way. "Ayo Ant JRay this is Xia, she's kinda new but not new." he laughed.

"She's bad forreal." I overheard Anthony, I think was his full name, whisper into the other boys ear. The one Kamora was talking to was the dark skin JRay. I've never heard her bring him up before. Kamora was kind of shy when it came to boys. We all started chatting until Don said something. "Oh yeah Xia that's Lamelo right there." he said motioning towards the direction he was walking towards us from. A breath caught in my throat as I watched him walk up. He wore grey Nike sweats that hung low on his hips, showing off this boxers. Along with a white Nike Tee and some white AF1s to go with it. Two gold chains hung from his neck. Pretty simple outfit for a party but it was doing it for me. He was a huge deal, his family was a huge deal and everyone knew him, loved him, and wanted him, I knew that much. I mean he's a basketball ace. He ran his hand over the waves at the top of his head a few time as he tried to get through the crowd of people. I don't know what came over me but the closer he got to reaching us the more I started to panic on the inside.
