Melo

"So you don't think that it's a big deal that Xia is getting all lovey dovey with her ex, Kayla? You much be out of your damn mind." I clenched my jaw.

"Well they haven't seen each other in a long time and Xia has never even talked about him or mentioned him in forever. They're probably just catching up, it's not like her feelings for him are going to instantly come back."

It wasn't impossible.

How old was this nigga anyways if he's friends with Jeremiah who's 21. Xia is only 17..

I left Kayla where she was and walked into the kitchen where they were. They didn't even notice my presence at first they were too busy giggling at the words coming out of each other's mouths.

"So Xia who's this?" I sternly said interrupting their conversation. Xia finally took her attention away from the guy in front of her and they both turned towards me. His touch fell from her arm. Her ass was practically smiling from ear to ear.

"Oh! Melo this is Malik, Malik this is Melo-" She sounded like she was going to continue, maybe but Malik spoke up little to my liking.

"What's good bro." He smiled and held out his hand.

"Hey." I went back to Xia not really paying attention to the dude. She gave me a look like she didn't know why I was acting the way I was.

"How y'all know each other?" I asked clearly directing the question to Xia but instead the nigga beside her opened his mouth.

"We knew each other for a few years actually. I'm actually shocked that I got to see her beautiful self today, it's been so long. I don't know how you're even friends with her though man, she's crazy." He laughed looking at Xia.

Beautiful. Friends. Beautiful. Friends. Beautiful. Friends.

I know this nigga did not only flirt with my girl right in front of me, but he thinks that we're friends? Did Xia even bother to tell him that she had a boyfriend? Or was she too busy letting him flirt with her to mention it. Maybe I was overthinking it but the anger I felt was the only thing that mattered.

The way she responded was the icing on the cake.

"Malik you are too much!"

So nothing he said bothered her the way it bothered me? She wasn't even paying me no mind, I mine as well have been invisible. It took everything in me to not do what I wanted to do, so I just walked away. Walked away, walked out the door right past Jere and Kayla calling my name, and right into my car and just drove.

Xia

I don't know why Melo was acting the way he was but it was really pissing me off. I didn't understand why he was being so hostile towards someone he didn't even know. I didn't take Melo for the jealous type but I guess this was what this was.

"I'm so so so sorry Malik, but I gotta go." I gave him a quick hug. "That angry tall dude was my boyfriend I spoke so highly about." I rolled my eyes.

"It's cool, don't be a stranger though Xia. Missed you." He hugged back. When he let go I walked out of the kitchen and my eyes scanned over the people trying to see where Melo was. Then I see Kayla walking up to me.

"Hey Kay, did you see where Melo went?" I asked getting worried, because if he was mad there's no telling what he would do. He's not really good at controlling his anger.

"Yeah...he stormed outside looking pissed as fuck. I don't think he liked how close you and Malik were. I tried to tell him that it wasn't anything to worry about but then I told him that he was you're ex and-"
