I smiled as I opened my eyes, my alarm had not gone on but I was awake already,
I stretched my hand in search of the clock to check how many minutes were left, 2mins to go, I giggled as I sat up right and turned it off, preventing it from alarming, I felt this sense of honour, it felt really good waking up before the alarm, turning it off before it rang made me feel like I had diffused a bomb, it was my first achievement for the day and I was ready to achieve even more.I slipped on my hoodie and my joggers for the days exercise and rushed down to meet my dad, I was younger but my dad was always smarter, he was already down waiting patiently for 5:30 so he could run into my room to wake me up himself, I chuckled on the surprise looks he wore as he saw me walking down the stairs all set and energetic, I could tell he never expected it, but honestly I don't know what gave me the vibes, perhaps it's the nice time I spent with my friends yesterday that had lighten up my today, may the name of the lord be blessed.
We set out for the normal routine and everything went well, I still couldn't believe I was jogging in front today while they all jogged behind me, I couldn't explain it but I was happy, I felt more alive than I have in the past 6weeks, I wish all day could be like this for me.
We were done with the last lap and it felt like we'd gone just 3laps, I could go for two more but had to go prepare breakfast for my dad so he could go to work.We had past Charles's house and walked slowly to ours, swinging and flipping our hands in the air as we walked, having some father and son conversations just when we noticed from afar, two ladies standing in front of our house and staring immensely at it, we stopped and observed them for awhile but noticed they didn't pose as threat so we walked closer to them.
"Good morning " my dad said with a deep voice that sounded very unusual, it was to startle them and it sure did, but when they turned holding their chest and laughing softly, "sorry, I didn't mean to startle you" he said with a deep smile on his face knowing exactly what he had done,
" good morning to you too" the older lady said with a calm voice as she and my dad exchanged pleasantries.
While all this was on, I couldn't help but notice the most beautiful creature that stood next to her, her white eyes shining as she stylishly stared at our building, having this wonderful dimple located on her right cheek, her wonderful smile blew my mind as I stared at her perfect dentition."well, I am Mr Chris, and this is my son Alex, the building you're admiring is my house " my dad introduced as he grabbed me by the shoulder and pulling me closer to himself, I was so lost in my thoughts and dad dragging me made it so obvious "good morning sir...ma " I greeted, not knowing whether to prostrate, bow or give a handshake, I felt a little embarrassed looking down to the ground, " nice meeting you Alex, well this is my daughter Moet, and this is our house, she pointed at the new building just next to ours, " we packed in recently and couldn't help but admire this wonderful building just next to ours" she added,
My eyes lightened up as she pointed at their house, I tried all I could not to make it obvious I was excited, I kept staring at Moet in a way that made her feel a bit uncomfortable, I was crushing already.
My dad exchanged numbers with Moet's mum as we left,
I couldn't stop smiling as we walked pass them, Moet's beauty was out of this world.I ran upstairs to freshen up, singing all sorts of songs in the shower, screaming on top of my voice, the happiness in me had just found completion and I couldn't wait to tell my friends.
