Deeper Than Faces

Chapter 19

    A sudden laughter erupted as I knelt on the well designed tiled floor, with my face in my palms. The whole exchange of curses and attempts of physical combat suddenly seized, "dude she fell for it oh" Charles giggled loudly as he buried his face on Alex body who was already laughing his soul out, I couldn't believe I had just been fooled, I stared at them with my kneels still glued to the floor, I couldn't believe they i'll go that extent to prank me.

    "Guys, it's not fair oh", I said softly as I stood up and sat on the nice looking sofa, downloading that sad looking face that always gets the job done, and in a matter of minutes they both sat beside me with their hands crossed over my shoulders, making my cheeks turn pink and my eyes rolling as their affirming words  continue to waft in my ears.
"it was just a prank okay", Alex mumbled as he robbed his hand on my shoulders.

     we both relaxed fully in the sofa as Charles pointed the remote to the TV and playing Grown-ish, the movie was nice and the fact that Charles kept explaining as we all watched even made it more interesting, the romance in it was so captivating that I didn't realize I was already cuddling with Alex.

"grrriiiiinnnnngggg "the door bell rang and it startled us, Alex ran to the door, I stared to see who it was and hoping it wasn't his dad, I wasn't ready to meet him yet.
   Thank God, I mumbled as the Lucy lady walked in, wearing a soft smile as she made her way to the living room, "hey dear" charles said as he stretched out his hand to her and they did their handshake. I kept staring right into the TV, not making a sound or even blinking, I noticed she looked at me too but I refused looking back, 
"moet please meet Lucy, our dearest friend, and Lucy meet moet, our new friend " Alex introduced, I let out a deep smile that may almost seem fake, I stretched out a handshake but instead she pulled me up and gave a warm hug, I could feel my legs shaking, the whole place took silence as the hug lasted.

    "nice to finally meet you moet, Charles has told me much about you" she said, and Immediately my eyes motioned for Charles, he nodded in agreement to what she had said and I stood there, speechless, as nothing of her has been said to me.
"it's so nice to finally have a female mind around, atleast now I have someone to stand by me when this two knock heads misbehave ", she said and dragged me to sit by her.

    I chuckled on hearing her call them knock heads, the idea of having a female friend in the group made me excited and she seem very nice and talked a lot about her adventures with Alex and Charles, they all had done so much things together, and from all she said I could point out she and Alex got along very well and she and Charles fought a lot.
    It was so wonderful to hear someone tell me much about Alex and Charles, the good, the bad and the ugly where all said to my hearing and it made me laugh a lot, Alex seemed a bit shy as his stories where brought to my knowledge but Charles wouldn't stop adding all the missing part of his own story, he was like an open book full of hilarious chapters.

    The place had become dark and I had to leave, I could see on their faces they didn't want me to leave, especially Lucy who I just met today, I never thought we could get along so well.
"so you are going to leave me here with this knock heads right?!" she said and wore a frown on her face, left for me I would stay the night,  but with the iron lady mum I have in my house, I just have to run along, "Lucy I honestly wish I could stay but I really can't, how about we hang out tomorrow?" I suggested, and she lipped for joy, she also suggested it will be an only girl's hangout so no boys allowed, I chuckled and nodded in agreement as they all saw me off and went back in to continue with the movie....
