Alex's POV

I could see how amazed she was, it reminded me of myself the first day I was here, it was the exact feeling and the same facial expression I wore.
I kept smiling as we looked and tried to find our building, "there it is!! " she exclaimed after some minutes of search, the roof of my house was a bit different so it was easier to locate.

The place was so quiet and it made the cricket sound in bush loud, the soft cold breeze that blew just made the whole place cool.
"hey, how did you discover this place " she asked, looking very anxious to know, "my mum discovered it first and brought me" I answered, not wanting to talk about it, but her eagerness to know more seemed a little bit persuasive.

"yes that's true, you haven't really said anything about your mum since we started talking, tell me about her? ", at this point I had started regretting why we came, it brought back memories I had forgotten and now I'm forced to talk about them.

I was silent for a while, trying my best to hold myself as not to cry, but my efforts proved abortive as tears had began to gather in my eyes,
"hey what's wrong, it's OK if you don't want to talk about it " she said as she held me by the hand,
"I was just 9 when my mum brought me here, and since then we would always come here to relax and spend time together. This is where I and my mum come whenever we are happy, sad, angry, depressed and so on. It was at this very spot she told me about her cancer that eventually led to her death " ,and the tears in my eyes fell on my cheeks and rolled down slowly.
I couldn't hold myself anymore as I faced the floor and wept bitterly.

"I'm so sorry Alex, I didn't know" she said as she pulled me closer to herself and wrapped me in a warm hug,
I cuddled in her and used my hands to clean my face, and pulled in the drop of mucous in my nose.

"I see how much this place means to you, and I feel very honored to be here Alex, thanks for bringing me", she said, I lifted my face and let out a sigh, nodding to what she had said as we continued staring and talked for a while.

It was about 7:45pm, and then her phone began to ring, it was her mom, we immediately stood up and hurriedly left the hill as she answered the phone, telling her mom she wasn't far from home.

We soon got home and it was time for goodbyes, this was our first day together and we had practically shared with each other our innermost thoughts and feelings,
"hey, give me your phone" she demanded as she stretched out her hand and wearing a soft smile on her face, I handed it to her and she dialed her number on it and saved it.
I smiled on seeing what she had done, I just got a damsels number without even asking, my charms must be very strong.
We waved at each other as she slowly walked into her house, looking very happy and beautiful, I turned and walked away, feeling some sort of joy and freedom, I couldn't wait to tell my besties about this, but then the thought of Lucy popped up in my head, I became worried again.
it's funny how one thing can make you happy, and in a blink of an eye another can make you so worried.

I took my bath and laid on my bed, I miss Lucy so much, what could have happened, I thought, and took my phone and tried her line again, but still not reachable, I then wrote a text and sent, if by any means she saw it, it would be nice.
