***It's been a week now, and my friendship with Moet has been a blast, knowing someone as nice as her is something everyone would crave.
I dug my wardrobe, searching for one of my favorite shirt I had just remembered, I haven't seen it for a while and I can't remember giving it out, I took my time in searching just when my phone Made the binging sound, a text had come in, I flipped it open to see who it was and Moet's name stared right to my face, making me smile at once and before I realized, I was already sitting on my bed, I could feel the eagerness to reply already
Moet: hey Alex, are you there?🙃Alex: yes oh, I'm very well here😂
Moet: 😂😂
Moet: what you doing
Alex: nothing, just searching for a shirt I haven't seen for a long time, I just hope Charles didn't take it😒😒
Moet: 😅you two are like brothers
Alex: trust me, you don't want to know😄
Alex: what are you up to?
Moet: nothing at all, and am bored asf 😖
ohh Yes, this is an opportunity for me, I really need to see her again
Alex: why don't we meet at mummy Pete's ? 🙃🙃
Moet: yyeeeyyyy💃,that would be so nice
Alex: alright I'll be there soon
I threw my phone on the bed and punched into the air with joy, storming into the bathroom and had a rushed bath, my scattered cloths still looking at me from the floor, I don't think I'll be doing that Arrangment now.
I threw on a white shirt and a jean, combing my hair I rushed down stairs to leave the house with immediate effect just when I remembered I forgot my mints, I rushed back upstairs and took out of the soon to be emptied pack of mint and rushed back down, and immediately I opened the door, I saw Charles standing there with his fingers right on the door bell.
Ohhh Noo!!
Moet's POVI was so happy to leave the house, I quickly got dressed and applied a light makeup, I took my bag and rushed out of my room smiling as though I had won a lottery.
"mummy I'm coming" I said out loud to my mum as I made my way for the door,
"hey young lady get back here! "she yelled out, startling me,
"what do you mean by, I'm coming when you are obviously going"
she asked with her voice on a high pitch. I immediately felt the seriousness and gave a loud chuckle as I walked slowly to her, "mummy, are you not a Nigerian?" i asked sarcastically, knowing the only way I could get out of this was if I made her laugh.
She ignored me and continued with what she was doing, I laughed loudly and wrapped her from behind with a hug, backing it with apology but she uttered no words to me, my mum would always do this whenever she knew I really wanted something and she didn't want to give it, I tried all possible ways of making her talk, but she never gave in, I was then left with just one last option and if this didn't work, then there is no going out for me.I left her and walked slowly to the seat directly opposite hers and sat, putting my hands on my cheek and looking away, wearing the saddest looking face I could come up with, I said no words to her and tried my best not to make eye contact, and in a matter of minutes, I noticed how she stylishly looks at me, this was a clear evidence that my trick was working, and in no time, she said
"you may go, but don't stay out late" , I jumped up from where I sat and rushed into her with a hug and a peck, raining on her all sorts of affirming words which made her blush as I made my way out of the house.
