Alex's POV
"why on earth are you following me alex, I thought you had someone with you already, I was gone for just a week Alex, just a week and you already replaced me? " she said eloquently as she stared right into my eyes with a puffy look.
I was so confused as to where all this was coming from, I didn't know what reply to give or what action to take,
"oh wow, now you can't speak right! " she said furiously and glared at me."I didn't replace you" I mumbled as my eyes left hers for the ground,
"and now he has lost his voice" she groaned, rolling her eyes and wiping off the drops of tears on her face,
"I never replaced you Lucy" I repeated, with a bit of motioning towards her, but she took a step back with her left hand in the air, gesturing that I shouldn't come close, "then who is she, and why was she sitting on our seat? " she questioned, and then Charles came to the rescue."Lucy you are being too dramatic right now, the question is, where have you been all this while? " he asked as he walked closer and stood by me, folding his arms as we both stared at her immensely, she had just reappeared from wherever she had gone to, and instead of telling us where she went and why, she was busy ranting on who I sat with.
"I can't believe you two right now" she mumbled as she turned and hurriedly left the scene.
"girls have problem oh" Charles giggled, and signalled we both should go back in.***
What could she be staring at, looking so focused, I thought as we approached Moet, she was holding a paper with the estate name boldly written on it.
"two seconds of our absence and you already have a love letter from someone, that's nice", Charles said as we both sat facing her, "Charles it's not a love letter, It was shared to everyone minutes ago, take a look" and she handed it to us.
It was an invite to the wayrose day out, an annual social gathering which the estate usually organise in the forth quarter of the year for teens in the estate, it is usually very fun, lots of people, old and new, lots of dancing, drinking, gaming and awards- giving.
I and Lucy had won the award for couple of the night three times in a role, it was considered to be the highest award of the gathering because the winners get to have some cool cash and a week trip with ten friends to any state of their choice.Charles never stopped talking as we left the canteen, giving Moet all his plans for the state travel if he where to win the award,
"your ideas are nice, but they can only come true if I don't win again" I said, robbing my palm on the new shoots of hair below my jaw, and walking majestically
"let's wait and see, my victory is just 2weeks away" he said with so much confidence, and wore his weird smile, he joined in the majestic walk which soon became a competition of who walked better."Moet why don't you come over to Alex's house for movies tomorrow? " Charles asked sounding very enthusiastic, I stared and all i prayed was for her to just say yes, "that's a nice idea, hope you have interesting movies" she questioned with a furrowed look,
"yes of course" I answered with so much confidence, knowing fully well Charles already got that covered.
"alright then, tomorrow it is" she said as she walked to her house.I jumped and punched into the air with joy. "keep celebrating okay, don't go and arranged the house for tomorrow" ....
"that's very true oh, Guy let's go now so we can do it together" I pleaded,
"do what together?, is it my house?, please oh, arrange your house let me arrange my house" he said giggling and walking in a very annoying manner."don't ever come to my house again" I yelled, "why don't you stop me" he yelled back, laughing loudly and annoyingly....
