Should I travel through my memories,
Or listen closely to my dreams?

You tell me to hold onto my past,
Yet they tell me to embrace my future.

Should I carry all my sorrows,
And wear them proudly like battle scars?

Or should I pretend that all is well
And wear a plastic smile on my face?

You tell me to be fully my true self,
Yet they tell me to show only the happy parts.

So should I travel through my memories,
Or should I listen closely to my dreams??
