The Voiceless One

55 7 15

The voiceless one cried out to speak.
"Be quiet!" the loud ones said.
"Your words matter not!" they continued.
"We won't stand for your offensive ways!"

The voiceless one went home to weep.
"Look up," a still small voice said.
"Their ignorance will continue" it went on.
"But you cannot lose faith in the day."

So the voiceless one got up again to speak.
And listened not to those who shouted.
For the loud ones do not define the voiceless ones,
"The Lord my God is my identity
And He will speak through me."
