Before you read this poem, I want to share a little background on it. This probably the first poem that I ever wrote. When I was in third grade (about ten years ago...omg!), we had to write a Thanksgiving poem to give to our parents. I remember struggling with what to write (I was such a perfectionist...unfortunately I still am) and it took me so long to write it that I missed gym class (I was the only one to take this long). Thankfully I finished it (no pun intended, I literally didn't notice this until I read it back over)! And now you guys can read it. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving is a time to share
with friends who live everywhere.
Thanksgiving is a time of peace
where relatives get time to meet.
Thanksgiving is a time of fun
and the Bible gets read by everyone.
Thanksgiving is a time to thank God for when we wake.

P.S. I edited some spelling errors and I adjusted the format of the poem. Otherwise, it is the same as the original poem that I wrote in third grade (I went to a Christian school, in case you are wondering).
