If i'd have echoed loud
enough would you have
heard me over the vacuum
of your own sweltering ego?
I thought not.
It sucks the mundane and
unconquerable into its realm
while you focus on the irrelevant.
If I hollered from a megaphone
in the closest of proximity's you
would still remain unperturbed.
But I realised that I wasn't fazed;
it took time but I realised that my
self-worth isn't validated by your
acknowledgement.
