England is actually Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland, and Ireland's half-brother.
His mother is Britannia, yes, but his father is Germania.
(The Anglo-Saxons, who settled in Britain--largely England--were a collection of Germanic peoples. On top of that, English is a Germanic language.)
