He's even joined some amateur choirs before, and always makes sure to attend the Latvian National Song and Dance Festival.
(Latvia has very strong choir traditions. Even with the professional choirs, there are tens of thousands Latvians in amateur choirs. The Latvian National Song and Dance Festival takes place every five years with around 20,000 singers taking part.)
