His hand glides down my arm, folds over my hand. His fingers lace with mine, palms kissing. I can feel the fast thud of my heart at his touch.
There was something about the way Axel held my hand that sent tingles through my body, it was comforting. Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone's hand is the beginning of a journey.
At other times, it is allowing another to take yours.
The one thing I can say is nothing in this world compares to the comfort and security of having someone just hold your hand. There was no need for talking because this was all I needed, him.
Eventually the car comes to a holt and he turns the engine off. Removing his hand from mine to open his door getting out slowly, I follow what he is doing curious as to where we were. The instant emptiness from the absence of his hand. Part of me was nervous, my heart would not calm its self no matter what I tried the other part of me was curious.
I glanced at my surroundings around me, we were on a cliff? I think. The area was covered with trees, it was hidden. Axel makes his way towards the barrier of the cliff signifying for me to follow him.
The bare branches spiked into the sky - no sign of life to be found anywhere. It was so dark you were barely able to see where you were going. There were only small sounds of rustling bushes and the howl of the wind.
I have watched so many episodes of criminal minds and I know this just doesn't end well for most girls, yet stupidly I follow him into the unknown. We don't have to travel far in before the cliff starts to run out of flooring, a bench was located not far from the edge where Axel began to make his way to. It was perfectly placed.
I stopped unable to believe the sight before me.
A perfectly unassuming shade of black made the perfect backdrop for lights of the city. Scuff went the heels of my shoes as I made my way over to where the beautiful boy sat before me.
Now, at this hour of the night when most of the city is just saying goodbye the night, we are awake to witness the changing of traffic signals with cars on the road. The city is awake... when you associate anything with New York City it is usually the extraordinary buildings that pierce the sky or the congested sidewalks with people desperate to shop in the famous stores in which celebrities' dwell. I found myself lost within the Big Apple. The voices of the never-ending attractions call out and envelop you in their awe. The streets are filled with an atmosphere that is like a young child on a shopping spree in a candy store.
I couldn't believe the beauty before me; I couldn't believe he was sharing this with me. I didn't realize I was holding my breath because when I let out the air the cold left me breathless. I sit myself on the bench along with Axel leaving a little room between us. I tucked my hair behind my ears as I stared at the sight before me.
It was like a movie; I was watching the scene and he was watching me. I could feel my cheeks burning I knew this wasn't from the cold, it was from him. I turned my head to look into his eyes left breathless again at his beauty.
"Beautiful isn't it?" He whispered I barely recognized his voice.
"Axel..." I was breathless at the scenes in front of us.
