The noble pair soon realized what was happening and decide to take matters into their own hands. They wanted compensation for the boy they bought all those years ago. At first they ask they're overjoyed to have reunited a separated family at last even if they all couldn't be there now. The king asked them if there was anything they wanted. Before he got his reply Brook chimed in that he and the girl with them had been their slaves for 7 years and he wanted her to be freed as well. She was his first friend after all. After the king asked if they'd be willing to part with the girl as well they started freaking out.

The wife grabbed her by her hair and threw her to the ground and said "She is a good for nothing mute that could be of absolutely no use to a king and a prince. Not even as a scullery maid."

Brook yelled, "You are so wrong. She was the most hard working, loyal, kind, and adaptable person he knew despite her circumstances."

Then she took her off the ground got her in a chokehold just above her collar and had a knife to Sparhawk's face. She started walking towards the door with her and had her husband close by. At this point Brook grabbed a sword from a nearby soldier and started after them but got blindsided by one of the bodyguards who then proceeded to throw him accross the room that resulted in him cracking his head open unconscious on the floor.

For the first time in years Sparhawk screamed at the top of her lungs before she flipped the noble in front of her and was ready to fight. She then stared at the husband who stared at her in disbelief and unlocked the chains before telling his bodyguards to fight her.

Just as she had screamed 12 crows broke through the windows while turning into men. This caused mass hysteria in most of the guests and most guests tried to run to the nearest exits. It was total chaos. People pushing and shoving, Brook bleeding out and difficult to get to, and mostly everyone being confused as hell while there was fights going on.

Most of my brothers managed to make it over to me alright. I told them me and Ben had to get to Brook. The rest of them have to have our backs and make sure nothing happened to the king either. Once me and Ben started making our way to Brook the others that weren't with us saw what the others were doing and followed suit. They fought off the guards, kept the others a relatively safe distance away or evacuated them and so on.

Eventually myself, Benjamin and even the king shortly after made it to Brook. By the time things had quieted down Ben had examined him and patched him up best he could and said he'd need lots of rest and quite very well not wake up for some time. I then sat down and put his head in my lap as the king held his hand and we both started to cry a bit. Not long after the king said, "The 2 of you must have meant a lot to each other. All of you can stay as long as you want. I'd prefer it if you could call me by my name, Arthur."

The days turned into weeks and before you knew it a month had passed. I never left his bedside. I'd sing songs we'd made up and songs we loved. Sometimes I'd just sit in the bed and hold his hand to see if he'd squeeze it back. Arthur visited a lot. I would tell him stories about my time with Brook and what kind of person he was. The more he heard the more like he knew what a wonderful person he was. He told me that he had was similar to his mother in a lot of ways, but had his looks except the eyes. His eyes were like hers.

One day at the end of the month, late at night something moved in the bed next to me and woke me up. I squeezed Brook's hand and got a squeeze back. I was dumbfounded when I saw him sitting up and hugged him tight. Then told him, "You shouldn't try to get up so fast."

He said, "Thank you for helping me find my way back. I feel like you're very important to me. But I have a question for you."

I replied a little hesitantly, "You're not sounding like yourself but go ahead."
