When Brook dies and his soul leaves his body... Sparrow's Point of View...
Every was going great. We just got a bunch of loot and we were going to meet up with Newgate and his Captain. When suddenly it felt like my heart was going to burst and I had a massive headache at the same time. I fell to the floor on my knees with my hands on my head. The pain was intense. It felt like I was going to die.52 years later at Reverie... A representative of Brook's kingdom's Point of View...
"Byron come on we have to get you and that girl out of here. Or me freeing the 2 of you and the others will have been for nothing. Jay take Merlin and the others back home on the ship you came here on. You don't need to be willingly known to have associated with us. Derek you know where to take these 2. I'll take the known criminals with bounties and some of the freed slaves that are willing to come with us to Wano. I made a promise to an old friend of mine that I'd help."Just arriving on the outskirts of Wano... Brook's Point of View...
I was so glad that the crew would all be reunited soon after such a long time that I could write a song about it.We weren't sure where it would be safe to anchor but luckily Law-san wasn't to far in his Yellow Submarine. I could have sworn there was a song about living in one that I heard.
Anyway Bepo was with him and told us we couldn't get close almost anywhere on the island with our ship without being under heavy fire. So he led us to a relatively safe spot well hidden some distance from the island near the camp where most of the allies had already gathered. Law-san told us to either hop in the Polar Tang or use a smaller ship to get over less noticeably. So a small group of 3 people went in the shark submerge and the rest in the Polar Tang.
When me made shore and Kanjuro and Raizo were there to meet us. They greeted us warmly but briefly before taking us to where our base on the island was. We got there and the rest of the crew was there and we had a happy reunion before we were told to quiet down. Then Zoro and Sanji started arguing. It started over Sanji pointing out his bounty was higher than Zoro's now. So pretty normal for those two. It made me smile even though I don't have lips anymore. I chuckle quietly to myself.
Raizo heads over to some young ninja and kunoichi and interrupts a woman with them. "Looks like you're teaching these young ones good taijutsu sensei. Makes me think of when you used to teach me the same thing." Raizo commented.
"Hey, I earned the respect I deserved despite being a good weapons master and not being too shabby at taijutsu." She replied. "I may not be good at ninjutsu or genjutsu like a proper ninja but I can move like one. Let's see where you're skills are at to the kids with a demonstration. Oh, seems like you got a friend with you. You must be Soul King Brook? It's nice to meet you."
She extends her hand to me for a handshake and I accept. Something was familiar about her. Her hair was short and blonde with patches of white here and there. She wore black sunglasses and a familiar bandana. But she looked rather young. "Nice to meet you as well." I replied. "May I know your name before I ask you something?"
"You should know it. But it was a long time ago. My name is Starlight. Star for short." She said. "Last time I saw you, you were a little more fleshed out. It was about 53 years ago at this point now. Does the name Captain Sparrow ring any bells for you?"
Something clicked in my head. "There's no way you're him. You look too young and are a young woman." I said a little shocked. "But you seem to have a decent sense of humor. Yo ho ho."
"We're related. Also Sparrow was a woman pretending to be a man. Most people wouldn't have taken a female captain, much less a female pirate, seriously back then." She retorted. "Sparrow died after someone very close to us died 52 years ago. It was almost as if she died of a broken heart."
"That's sad to hear. She was a good person. Whoever it was to cause her to die like that must have been important." I replied. "This isn't the question I wanted to ask but were you a crew member or what? I still can't figure out who you are. Wait, were you one of the kids that were always with her?"
"You could say that." She said with an impish look. "Anyway I was the new Captain for a while there when I was old enough. I eventually came here though and was one of the first outsiders to be trusted that wasn't a mink. Eventually I ended up training Raizo and a few others before leaving again. I'm back now with some of my crew because someone I know asked for my help."
One of the students tugged at her shirt. "We want to see you fight someone." He said.
"Okay, okay. If you'll excuse us we need to show these kids how to use some ninja skills to use if worse comes to worst. Raizo if you don't mind helping out. We can catch up later Brook." She said turning away.
So I left to go join up with everyone else so I might have a general idea of what the plan was.
Star's Point of View...
"If that's him you should tell him the truth. He should really know." Raizo stated."I'll wait and see. It's been so long. He might not believe or forgive me. Plus if he's happy it's better if I don't. I hate lying to someone i care as much as I do about him. He probably thinks I'm dead anyway. Besides only you, my crew, and a few others know who I really am." I said with a sigh. "Now let's show these kids a thing or two."
Some time later... Brook's Point of View...
The plan was laid and everyone was getting prepared when a samurai was arguing with Star about something. I walk over to see what the problem is. A part of the conversation I heard walking over was most women aren't meant to fight. They're meant to stay home with the children and take care of the house."So women are worthless? They have no fighting ability whatsoever? I guess Raizo can't fight either because a woman taught him how to fight. I've seen him fight his hardest trying to beat me in training but he hasn't yet." She rebutted.
"That's different he's a ninja." He replied. "It's different for a ninja."
"How? I can use anything you can find and use it as a weapon better than almost any man I've met." She said. "The people who follow me as my companions will say the same thing. Especially the ones that have known me for decades of my life. Plus there's even kunoichis."
"They must have been weak because your still just a weak woman. A rather tallish one but still a weak little girl. And Raizo was probably just being nice cause that's the kind of guy he is." The man commented.
Just as he was about to hit her my body acted without thinking and I slapped him accross the face. "Heh, got a man fighting for you now..." he turned around and got a few good blows in before flipping him on his back and sticking his sword between his legs. A little close for comfort too.
Star then tripped him and disarmed him with ease. "I don't need help from a man to take you out. Didn't even break a sweat with you or need to use any weapons." She said as he ran off with his sword. "Thanks for the help."
"Well, then I wasn't going to ask this before, but may I see your panties young lady?" I asked.
"Alas, I can't. My husband might say something about it. He's off on his own adventures apart from mine." She said with a smirk. "Thanks again. Now if more of these men were as accepting fighting alongside a woman. But it's probably best I set my men up where they need to be."
That was probably the nicest way I have ever been turned down. I swear though she reminded me of someone else. Similar to Sparhawk. But she couldn't be, could she? Why wouldn't she say anything if she was? I guess I'd find out soon enough.
