The Heir of Slytherin- Harry Potter (Male Reader)

1.5 Quidditch

A week has now passed. It was the morning of Saturday when Y/N woke up. It was the day of the Quidditch tryouts. He sat up and looked to Draco to check if he was already up. 

Draco sat in his bad and was clearly nervous. The moment he realized that Y/N was observing him, he pretended to yawn "Oh your up too, ok let's get something to eat before we will get picked for the team!" he said with mock confidence.

 Y/N grinned and nodded "Are you nervous, Draco?" "No why should I? I am a good seeker Flint won't be able to deny that and besides that, I have a few extra arguments that should convince him" "What exactly do you mean?" Y/N asked curiously. But Draco only grinned at him and walked out of their dorm. 

After they finished breakfast the two of them headed to the Quidditch stadium where the tryouts took place.

There were already a few people waiting.  In front of the group there stood Marcus flint, the Captain of the team. "Ok now everyone is there, split up for your respective positions!" there were a total of 6 boys who applied for the positions of the chaser. Y/N was the youngest but he wasn't the smallest of them. He was quite tall for his age. He wasn't a giant but neither a dwarf. With 1,75m he was tall for a 13-year-old. Only two boys, must have been in their 6th or 7th year, were taller than him. Luckily for Draco, only three others wanted to become the Seeker. 

"Okay, I think we should start with basic flying exercises. Everyone grab a broom and take a few laps around the stadium so I can check how good and steady you fly" Before they left the ground Flint already kicked two out. That made everyone else clear he wasn't playing games. He took it very seriously and so should they. After they finished their rounds he kicked out another three. There were still all 6 Chasers in. He already kicked out two Beaters, two Keepers, and even one Seeker. 

Afterwards, the group of chasers had to do some parkour flying. In the Parkour competition, they head to make a certain distance in a certain time while dodging Bludgers. Two of the six potential chasers failed one of them got knocked off his broom and the other one the tallest of them failed to reach the finish in time. "So height isn't everything," Y/N thought. "Very good! I see we have some good Chasers here" Flint stated surprised "to your bad luck I am already one of the three chasers so there are only two places left! We will determine who will become the two Chasers through free throws. Of course, the keepers will try to hold the balls!" 

The first one a boy called Graham Montague hit 5 out of 5. Y/N gulped "If everyone is that good it will be hard," he thought "Wait what am I thinking I am an excellent chaser I won the quidditch cup last year in Ilvermorny!" with that in mind a calmed himself and watched the next two. 

The second boy only hit 3 out of 5. Flint snorted at that. The next one a boy called Adrien Pucey hit 4 out of 5. "Okay, you got this. Focus and stay calm" Y/N muttered. 

He hit 4 out 4. At his last attempt, it looked like the keeper was holding the ball, but it slipped through his hands and then flew into the lower right ring. Y/N let out a sigh of relief and returned to the group. 

"It is settled our new Chasers are  Graham Montague and Y/N L/N!" Flint told everybody. Every position was already assigned, only the Seeker position was left. The other team members so far were Miles Bletchley as Keeper,  Lucian Bole, and Peregrine Derrick as Beaters. Meanwhile, there where only one other candidate besides Draco. Y/N sat down on a bench and cheered for Draco but wasn't even paying attention. He didn't think it would take long for Flint to make his decision. Draco is an adequate Seeker nobody can deny that. 

A few minutes passed then finally, Y/N was slowly getting hungry and bored, Flint announced that he decided that Draco will be their new Seeker. The other boy strolled disappointed back to the castle.
