After the double attack on Hermione and the Ravenclaw student, Hogwarts was no longer the same. The students were forbidden to be alone outside the common rooms and the teachers always had to lead them to their next lesson. Besides, the general fear had increased a lot since Draco's father had arranged for Dumbledore to be sacked.

Most of the Slytherins didn't seem to mind, they contented themselves with watching the frightened goings-on and Draco literally strutted through the school. There were only two Slytherins who had acted unusually. On the one hand, Y/N who felt very guilty since the attack on Hermione. Because he had done nothing to prevent the attack, although he had heard the voice again that frightened him to death. And Blaise, who wasn't concerned about the attacks but about his best friend's behaviour.

"Y/N don't be so hard to yourself you couldn't have done anything" said Blaise the day after Dumbledore has been sacked. The two of them sat in their usual place in Potions class and conversed in muffled fashion "I think I could have done something" responded Y/N glumly.

Blaise let out a fake laugh and asked annoyed "And how, if I may ask?" "Now that sounds strange but every time shortly before someone is attacked, I hear this voice" whispered Y/N and proceeded to grind the Two-Horn horn. "what, you hear a voice?" Blaise asked in astonishment, no longer whispering. But Y/N didn't answer, he glared at Blaise because he'd noticed Harry winced who sat at the table behind Draco two rows next to them and now sat motionless as if he didn't want to miss a word.

"Sorry" muttered Blaise guiltily when he noticed who was listening. Fortunately for him, Draco caught Harry's attention only moments later.

"I always thought Father might be the one who got rid of Dumbledore" he said, not troubling to keep his voice down "Maybe we'll get a decent Headmaster now. Someone who won't want the Chamber of Secrets closed" And then continued to Snape, who was walking through the rows and examining the students' work "Sir" said Malfoy loudly "Sir, why don't you apply for the Headmasters job?"

"Now, now, Malfoy" said Snape, though he couldn't suppress a slim-lipped smile "Professor Dumbledore has only been suspended by the governors. I dare say he'll back with us soon enough" said Snape and swept off around the Dungeon.

"I'm quite surprised the Mudbloods haven't all packed their bags by now" stated Malfoy.

"Well" said Y/N standing up "I think I have two remind Draco about something" Blaise nodded and smirked "Don't hurt him too bad"

His bad mood had already looked for a way to unload a bit and, unfortunately for Draco, he had just offered to take it on himself.

Without Draco knowing what was going on, he continued careless "Bet you five Galleons the next one dies. Pity, it wasn't ..."

But before he could finish his sentence, Y/N was already on his side and now leaned down next to him, glaring at him aggressively "Oh sorry I didn't mean to interrupt you. Please go on" said Y/N and saw Draco paling. "Oh Y/N... I said nothing important" he stuttered and glanced to Crabbe and Goyle.

Behind Draco, he saw that Ron had leapt off his stool and attempted to reach Draco. Both, Harry and Dean were holding him back. But his attempts were masked by the general hustle and bustle that had broken out when the bell rang.

"Do I have you to remind you what I said to you a few days ago?" Draco gulped "Because I think you were about to say something that I wouldn't really like"

"Hurry up, I've got to take you all to Herbology" barked Snape over the class's heads.

"Lucky" said Y/N straightening up again and added "If that happens again, I won't care if it's class or not. I'm not joking right now" he was on his way back to Blaise when he heard Draco's stuttering "You're just talking big and won't do anything anyways"
