Since Lockhart's first disastrous lesson Y/N decided that he would use that time to visit the library instead. He learned more there than Lockhart could ever try to teach him. He read a lot about various defensive and offensive spells.

In the last few days since the incident with Mrs Norris, Y/N used his time to read everything, he could find about the Chamber of Secrets. But to his own surprise, he didn't find as much as he hoped to. As a matter of fact, he knew as much as before. Every copy of Hogwarts a History was already lent out.

And books about Dark Magic, which could be the only magic to petrify somebody, he couldn't read because they were locked up in the restricted section. And Mrs Pince gave him no chance of sneaking into the restricted area.

Yesterday Draco burst into their dorm waving with a letter in his hand.

"My father sent me a letter about the incident fifty years ago. It says that a girl died in that now shut down the bathroom. They searched for the murder and finally charged that big twit Hagrid. They expelled him for opening the Chamber and freeing the monster." Draco summarized.

Y/N, who was writing on his Transfiguration homework stopped, put his feather to the side, and looked up to Draco.

"Really? Hagrid opened the chamber? I don't think he did it", Y/N told Draco and shook his head. "Yes, father doesn't think he did it, too. " Draco responded. He sighed and sat down on his bed "like a big fool like him could be the heir of Slytherin."

"Do you know who it is?", Y/N asked curiously. "I wish I would. Then I could help him." Y/N didn't respond to that. Instead, he got up "Come on we have Quidditch training. We better be on time. I don't want to fly some extra rounds." Draco nodded pushed himself off his bed and followed Y/N out of the dorm.

It was Saturday, the day of their first Quidditch match. Apparently, it was against Gryffindor. Y/N woke up early he felt like there was a big stone laying on his chest that prevented him from standing up and ended up laying there for half an hour. He was nervous it was his first match in Hogwarts and didn't know what to expect from their opponent. He heard that last year they were the best team.

"Don't worry you know that you have trained like a berzerk for this. Our team has the fastest brooms. This will be a walk in the park", he motivated himself. With his little internal speech, he got the strength to stand up.

He looked over to Draco's bed and saw him sitting in his bed and staring at the ceiling. He looked even paler than usual. "Come on, Draco. We should go to breakfast we have to strengthen ourselves before the match. The others will be already in the Hall waiting for us"

Draco slowly nodded and stood up. They changed in their green and silver Quidditch robes and walked out of the dorm.

Draco still hadn't said a word "You shouldn't be that nervous. We trained too hard to let your confidence crash."

When they entered the Great Hall their fellow Slytherins began cheering. Flint walked up to them "Take a seat, guys. You have to eat!" He pushed them both a plate with some egg and toast in the hands and walked off to talk to the other team members.

Y/N and Draco sat in silence next to each other and tried eating. Around five minutes after they came the Gryffindor team came into the hall. Immediately their fellow Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs cheered for them even some Ravenclaws joined in. Only the Slytherins began shouting, whistling and throwing deadly looks at the Gryffindor team.

Around eleven o'clock the whole school made its way down to the quidditch team. The Slytherin team sat in their cabin and had to endure a motivational speech.
