AMA POV
Hate.
Pure hate was what I felt for Femi.
My mind went over the events that I had been forcing myself not to think about while I sat idle in my office in the middle of the day.
How could he take advantage of me like that. I felt disgusted at him and also at myself for letting him even an inch close to me. The alarming thing was that, I enjoyed it.
The way he touched me was so phenomenal that I melted right into his arms and almost fell for his trap. I was such a fool. If I hadn't stopped him, I was sure that by now my name would be on his list of conquests.
How did he even make me succumb?
Yoruba Demon!
Yes, that was why. I knew he could make any girl bend to his will. But not me. Never again.
I would not be his plaything.
The surprising thing was that my boss didn't ask me about the case when he came in this morning. Probably he decided to forget about the dumb thing anyway.
Femi had been calling me all morning but I had already decided that I would never speak to him again.
I was pulled from my thoughts when Tola came into my office with one hand at his back and a small black box in the other. He was dressed painstakingly plain as usual.
"Tola don't you knock?" I snapped.
He eyed me up and down, making a snicker sound. "I don't blame you." He said giving me a small smile.
"Who's this person that's showering you with gifts like this. Ahn ahn" he spoke in amazement.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
He dramatically brought his hand out of it's hiding position, revealing a big bouquet of faux roses "these came in for you this morning"
To say that I was shocked was an understatement. I was surprised as hell. Although in the back of my mind, I knew who sent them, I didn't want to believe that he was that chivalrous.
"Who sent them?" I asked, taking the flowers and the small lengthy black box from Tola.
"I really don't know. There should be a note there somewhere" he shrugged.
"Okayy..." I dragged on as I dropped the flowers on my empty desk and proceeded to opening the box. My jaw dropped as I saw the content.
A diamond bracelet.
It was beautiful. "Oh my God" I gasped with eyes wide open.
"Wow that's so beautiful" Tola's exclaimed, as awestruck as I was. I quickly dropped the box on the table and rummaged through the flowers for some kind of note and stopped when something fell out of the bouquet. I caught it before it reached the ground.
I'm really sorry about yesterday. 🖤F.
My heart skipped a beat as I finished reading the perfectly written note that had the best hand writing I had ever seen. I didn't know how to feel. I dropped the note and picked up the bracelet again. I had never seen real diamonds in my life and so I was scared to touch them. I slowly ran my fingers along the vertically placed article and I withdrew them suddenly as I felt how cold it was.
I closed the box in a snap and stretched it out to Tola. "Return it" I said.
Tola looked at me with wide eyes. "Are you okay?" He asked me, looking like he could kill me any second.
