seeing someone break throughout time and not say anything is the worst thing a bystander, friend, parent, stranger could do because you. are. seeing. someone. learn. to. hate. themselves. it brings me literal tears just thinking and being grateful that when i was in my worst place, it still wasn't as bad as what some people go through. they are constantly struggling. every waking hour and sleeping hour. they learned to hate themselves because people all around them, who were supposed to live and cherish their existence, taught them that they aren't worth anything. that they are useless. it becomes so overwhelming that they convince themselves all those things are true and it sucks. because none of it is. but just saying that won't affect them at all. they have to see for themselves how beautiful they are.
