Mattia and the unexpected

Im missing you a lil too much

Its been a week since the car accident, vanessa hasn't woken up yet but the doctor says she's perfectly fine. Me and the boys visit her almost everyday unless we are busy. Over this week I've missed annoying her and looking at her and her being mad at me.
The doctors say her body seems ready to wake up so it's all up to her now. Unfortunately they also said that there is a small chance she might wake up and have amnesia, which is better then her being dead but I really hope she wakes up as her self.

Its now been 2 weeks, vanessas dad is extremely worried as the doctors said she would wake up soon but it's been 2 weeks and there hasn't been an update. Her mother is back in town which is werid .
Mattias starts daydreaming about them back in class 3 weeks ago.
*In his head*
Vanessa:"Okay lets get this over with ask me the questions"
Mattia:"do you live with both your parents?"
Vanessa:"no just my dad, and mattia don't hesitate to speak faster"
Mattia smiles with mischief.
Mattia:"do you keep contact with the parent that you don't live with."
Vanessa:"No"
Mattia:"why"
That wasn't part of the question but her face when she said no made me intrigued.
Vanessa:"because she clearly has no interest in doing so , so neither do I"
Mattia:"your turn"

*mattia snaps back into life*
Ale:"why you smiling so much bro"
Mattia:"nothing it's nothing, so ya'll coming to the hospital."
Kairi:"only ale and roshaun are ,me robert and alvaro have a meeting with our bio teacher"
We all continue to talk about football then get going to class.

I mean clearly vanessas mom does want to keep contact as she's here. Mattia thought to himself as he walks into the hospital lobby. The boys have already been introduced to vanessas mom.

(Her mother's name is kelly she's Mexican and looks quite young for her age.)

Everyone left to go get something to eat so it's just me  roshaun and ale in her room. They got hungry and left aswell but they went across the street so they'd be back soon.

Its just me and Vanessa now. I'm sat beside her bed. She looks very pale but still beautiful. I grab her hand and just admire her. I rub my finger across her cheek and suddenly I felt all my feelings.
"I'm so sorry for everything for doing those things to you , you deserve so much more"
I whisper while letting go of her hand.
I sit back in my chair and just wait for the boys to bring me some food.

A nurse walks past our room but she stops and rushes in.

"Oh my dear your awake"
My eyes Widen at vanessas, she looks at me and gives me a confused look almost like she don't recognise me.
"Oh thank god your awake you little shit"
I say and she lets out a small smile. The doctor rushes in and tells me I should leave the room.

I needed to call her family but my phone was dead and the boys were taking so long. Hopefully the doctors contact them all. I'm not too sure if she rememberes me to be honest.

Her family arrive at the hospital 20mins after she woke up. I explain to them that I have no idea wether she remembers me or not.
Roshaun and alejandro left me and went to chill at Lily's. My phone was dead so I can't even let them know she's awake damn.

Kelly was waiting with me instead of being with her daughter almost like she was afraid. We didn't speak much but she looked very nervous and jittery almost like she was on cocaine but I'm sure she wasn't.

"Mattia you can go in now" said her dad after 1 hour of me waiting. I'm not to sure why I was waiting but it felt right.
I smile and stand up then make my way to her room.
"Hey Jayden could you call ale and tell him  she's awake my phones dead" I say
He nods and smiles.

I walk in and she's sitting up drinking water.
Mattia:"hey how you feeling"
Vanessa:"pretty dead"
We both laugh
Mattia:"you do remember me right"
Vanessa:"yeah your um micheal right"
Mattia:"ha ha very funny"
She laughs as I walk towards the chair next her bed. We continue to talk and I catch her up on everything.
Vanessa:"your the last person I'd expect to be at my hospital bed almost everyday you know"
Mattia:"pft I wasn't here everyday"
Vanessa:"sure mattia sure, wheres everyone else"
Mattia:"they don't care whether your alive or not"
I said sarcastically
Vanessa:"strange that your the only one who cared"
She smirks at me and oh boy do I miss that smile I just really wanted to hug her.
Mattia:"Shutup bitch"
She laughs. It goes silent for a bit
Mattia:" they were busy and my phone died so hopefully your brother calls them and lets them know"
She just nods and starts playing with her hands almost like she had finally realised what had happened to her. Before I knew it she was crying, I pulled myself up from my seat and sat on her hospital bed and held her hands.

Mattia:"hey hey, what happened was not your fault"
Vanessa:"I know I just- I missed 3 weeks of life and that fact that I could've woken up earlier but i didn't just annoys me"
Mattia:"nobody blames you plus ,look on the bright side your alive and well"
Vanessa:"yeah your right I guess for once"

Mattia:"and I'm also sorry for everything , for being mean to you for everything"
Vanessa:"I know I heard your apology right before I opened my eyes, it was werid it was like you pulled me awake with just your voice"
Mattia:"well shit your welcome I guess"
She punches my arm slightly.
Vanessa:"fuck i missed everyone and everything"
Mattia:"yeah and I've just missed you a lil too much" he blurted , his face starts to get red
Mattia"I didn't mean that don't get excited you rat"
Vanessa:"we both know you did mean that"

She smirks and taps my nose with her dry finger.
We both start to slowing lean in for a kiss. We were looking into each others eyes just admiring eachother and as my lips hovered near hers we hear the boys yelling from the door.
"LOOK ALIVE LOOK ALIVE" reciting lyrics from drakes song.
We both lean away and I jump of the bed.
They all hug and greet her while I just stand back.

Out of all the times we have shared a moment this felt like the most real and meaningful one.
I walked out the room and left the hospital to sit in my car. I hate catching feelings for girls I catch them so quick and so easily. I don't wanna hurt her. I start driving out of New Jersey.
