Mattia and the unexpected

I think its time to talk.

The next day we had lunch with mattias family and all I could think about is that all my food is going into another human right this moment.
(Sorry if you don't understand the next few lines)
Me and mattia had no idea how to tell them.
We was all almost done with lunch.

Me:"it's very delicious mrs polibio"
His mum:"thank you dear, call me cami silly"

I smiled and continued eating.
I suddenly felt mattias hand interlock mine from under the table.

"Mom, dad , lil bro we have some news to tell you guys but I really hope you all don't start yelling in Italian or Mexican" Mattia said

I started to sweat from head to toes.

Mrs:"what is it Matti"
Mattia:"Vanessa is pregnant"

Mr:"I beg your pardon"

Mrs:"Mattia eres estúpida. como pudiste Qué están planeando hacer?"

Mr:"mi stai prendendo per il culo"

Mrs:"ok cara, restiamo calmi. questo è abbastanza serio"

Mr:"how are you Vanessa"

Me:"um well we only found out yesterday so that explains the vomitting and headaches but nervous that's all"

Mattias mom looked devastated.

Me:"Realmente lamento decirles esto, chicos, pero necesitamos consejos sobre qué hacer"

Mrs:"of course, sorry excuse us we just never would've thought this would happen"

Mr:"well in my opinion, I think you guys should keep it  plus you'll have a lot of support from me and your father Vanessa"

I was quite shocked at me polibio a words.
Gian:"I'm gunna be an uncle"

Mrs:" I agree I think you should both discuss this and see what's best. You have mine and your fathers support in whatever you guys decide"

Me:"thank you so much"

Mr:"your family now"

He toasted.

"Well that went okay" Mattia said while driving

Me:"I guess"

Mattia drove to our park and we sat on the bench and ate some ice cream.

I was thinking  a lot through the last couple hours and how I don't even know what I want to do with my future. I have no passion for anything in specific and I have no dream job so what if being a teen mom is what I'm supposed to be doing.

Mattia:"I think we should talk now"

Me:"yeah, so what's your opinion on everything"

Mattia:"I've always wanted to be a dad, never thought I would have the opportunity at such young age but ofcourse your the one who will have to carry the baby so it's up to you"

Me:"well I will be the one to carry it but we'll raise it together so we both have to be 100% in on this"

Mattia:"I am 99.9% in on this"

Me:"what if we don't have enough money, or where will we even live? Or where will we raise it if your going of to New York for college?"

Mattia:"college can wait"

Me:"no Mattia you have a good future don't ruin it."

Mattia:"well I can still go to college in New York, we can find a small cheap apartment and we can stay in New York"

Me:"that's insane, what if we ever need our family to help?"

Mattia:"look I love you and I know your scared but we can do this. I can skip the first 2 semesters which won't do as much damage to my grades because I'll still be studying while being a dad"

Me:"what if it doesn't work out, what if we split up"

Mattia:"no way that would happen, think positives not negatives"

Me:"I'm trying to think realistically"

Mattia:"so am I! And your going to be an amazing mommy"

I stared into the distance and as much a i did want to keep this baby something was holding me back. Maybe it was the thought of me never having a loving mother which made me think I'd be just like my mother, but I could neverr"

"Okay lets keep it" I said

Mattia hugged me tight and smiled widely

"We got this" he said

We spread the news quickly and everyone was quite excited for us.
