As soon as the class ended we immediately wind up everything and we plan to celebrate birthday of my pal 'Simran Patel'.
We were dressed in our best. I dressed myself in a chudidar which was blue from head to toe along with matching earrings and sandals and also my favorite, which I never forget to wear, a multi colored stone bracelet in my one hand and in other, my favorite wrist watch. I am totally mad over watches. If I could, I'll get a whole wardrobe of watches which suits and fits my mood.
My pal Zysha Khan, she's just terribly beautiful. No matter what she wears she looks awesome. I titled her as the 'Show Stopper' of our group because she's the one every guy would love to be his but she is just like me, only believes in celebrity crushes and currently she's a diehard fan of 'Ian Somerhalder, the Hollywood actor who plays the role of the vampire in the show 'The Vampire Diaries'. She dressed herself in a beautiful white and yellow chudidar with a handbag in her hand which she mandatorily carries and her white stilettos that she wore were just perfect. Another of my pal, 'Aafia Shaikh' dressed herself in black patiala salwar with a long purple knee length top along with a yellow color shrug on her shoulders with earrings, sandals and all other accessories to enhance the beauty of hers. Both Zysha and Aafia were wearing black burqa to cover themselves from strangers as it is mandatory in their religion to wear after puberty hits.
Last but not the least, our birthday girl 'Simran'. She's the one who speaks louder when there's a board saying 'MAINTAIN SILENCE' with the capitals. That's the reason we call her 'loudspeaker' of the group. She dressed herself in a long sky blue gown. She left her hair open and she was wearing multi-color butterfly hairpins which looked cute on her. Her transparent sandals look exactly like Cinderella's sandal. She was looking different but in a good way.
After deciding a lot, keeping in mind that I don't like pizza, paneer, cheese, mayonnaise and all the crazy fat making stuffs not because I'm health conscious but because I can't tolerate even the smell of all these. The last time which we all are never going to forget was when I had pizza in Pizza Hut at CST, I puked that instant, so we ended up in a restaurant at Bandra.
On our way I asked Zysha and Aafia don't you guys feel hot in this burqa? They both started laughing and said in a very decent way to make me understand that they feel hot but wearing this veil makes them feel protective, secure from strangers. I asked with curiosity why your religion makes you follow such a strict rule. Zysha answered "don't blame it on my religion please". My religion is as pure as water, as sinless as a new born baby and as perfect as the sky which never falls down on us. It is for our safety only. It makes us feel special like a princess; only selected people are allowed to see us like my father, brothers, uncles and husband." I asked with a confusion that means you guys don't wear this veil in your house? Both burst out in laugh like I cracked a joke or something. They said obviously not, Surie, Zysha said "I don't understand? We are free to uncover ourselves but why we aren't free to cover ourselves? Blaming Islam for the behavior of a few Muslims is like blaming a Ferrari for the behavior of some reckless drivers." I nodded my head in approval, they really impressed me.
Finally we reached Bandra. We took an auto from the station to get to the restaurant. After making ourselves cozy in our seats we looked for the waiter to come and take our orders. We ordered chicken fried rice, chicken Manchurian and some healthy soups too because only this could fit and hit our budget. While all three were busy eating, talking and laughing I was totally concentrating on my food not because I was famished it's because I was thinking about Siddharth's story, how much pain he might have gone through? Deep inside I was feeling pity for him. Wished I could be able to do something for him.
After we were done we headed towards the 'Ice cream Parlor. All three of them got what they wanted, 'chocolate' and as I don't like chocolate I was still struggling what to have? I asked, 'Vanilla'? The ice cream parlor man said no. I asked, 'Pineapple'? He said no. I asked, 'Mango'? He said no. I asked, 'Orange' and again he said no. This time I really wanted to slay him and at last he asked me 'Tutti Frutti'? I was so frustrated that I said fine.
All three were almost done. After having a scoop of my ice cream I realized it tasted like bubble gum. I sat down with them and they asked me, 'what are you hiding from us'? I said nothing but soon I started telling them everything and they said, 'C'mon Surie you don't need to be saddened about the fact he wasn't able to get her, its fine! Stop thinking about it and just relax. Just pray to God to give him strength'.
We left for home and bid each other goodbye
