Kimberly was an only child, but she never felt lonely because she had two loving fathers. She was grateful she didn't lose them in the First Wizarding War.

Her fathers, Azazel and Mark, faced a lot of backlash in the earlier days of their relationship because of their same gender and adopting Kimberly whose real parents had been lost in the First Wizarding War.

She thought of her birthday parents from time to time, wondering what they were like because she could barely remember them, but she loved her current parents. Family didn't mean blood relations, and they made sure of it. Her parents, alone with Sally and Jane were her family.

Christmas was spent with people who wouldn't berate Azazel and Mark about their choice in gender, which included Kimberly's aunt and uncle from Azazel's side of the family, Sally and her mother - her father left before she was born - and Mark's two younger sisters.

"Did you know Kimberly has a boyfriend?" Sally teased, plopping her legs onto Kimberly's lap.

Kimberly's face turned red - still not as red as the Weasley family. "Sally!"

"Oh?" asked Azazel. "Who is this boyfriend?"

"Ugh, Sally, you traitor," mumbled Kimberly.

"Now, now," said Mark, resting his hand on Azazel's knee, "you don't have to tell us." However, there was a twinkle in his eyes that said otherwise.

Kimberly looked between her parents before everyone else. Sally's mother was drinking very alcoholic eggnog with her uncle, while her aunt was passed out on the dining room table after drinking and dancing on top of it.

"Ron Weasley," she mumbled.

"Oh, the Weasleys? Nice folks," said Mark. "Isn't that right, A?"

Azazel nodded. "'m just glad you didn't fall in love with one of the twins. Trouble, those two."

"It's not - not love," she muttered before huffing and leaning back on the couch.

Sally smiled. "Maybe not yet. But you two do seem smithed with each other."

"Not as much as you and Hermione," Kimberly retorted.

Sally rolled her eyes. "But at least, we're more aware of it. You two are horrible at expressing yourselves."

"Sally, I believe that's just Ronald," said Mark. "Molly once told him of a time where he was seven and he early drowned in the toilet."

"How does that even happen?" Sally incredulously questioned.

"Well, you see - "

Azazel and Kimberly looked at each other before sighing and getting up to get more cookies in the kitchen.
