"Seems dear little brother is finally waking up." I jumped at the voice then heard a small laugh behind me, I groaned at Mephisto. 'Why does this bastard always have to be around in the worst times.' I frown at my thoughts but I bring my attention to the groaning coming from my waking son.
I soon see him open his blue eyes and I give him a moment to wake but before I can talk I hear him ask the most obvious question that anyone in a hospital would ask. "Am I in a hospital?" I had taken that he most likely got the idea from the white walls of the hospital room. "Yeah, you are," I reply and I see him look at me, "Rin, do you remember what happened just a few hours ago?" I wanted to make sure he knew as he had just asked if he was in a hospital. He turned his head back so he was looking at the ceiling and he frowned. "Yeah, yeah I do..." He trailed off and I looked down, after what Mephisto had told me I had gathered this would be rather hard for him. "Do you also remember what happened at the church?" I ask as I had only gotten a little information out of Yukio, I had only got to the point he was knocked out. Rin stays silent before telling me his side of the story.
"Yukio locked me in my room and I wanted to help and lucky enough I got out just in time. I pushed Yukio and he hit the floor being knocked out and I took Astaroth's punch. I kicked him out of the church and I hid Yukio in my wings to protect us until one of you came back and got rid of the... Thingys?" I smiled at his wording of demons. "And you came and that's it you know the rest." He finished his story and I nod.
"Rin, can you tell me about your wings, Mephisto told me a bit he told me ings are very precious to a demon and that's about it," I say and he hums. "Well, I guess there bets place to start would be after that, wings are the strongest part of my body and they're bones are connected to my spine and are what balance out the body." I wasn't ready for what he said next. "So in other words... I'm basically paralyzed from the legs down." My eyes widened at his words and I looked to where his legs are under the hospital blanket. I had sympathy and sadness in my eyes as I looked back to Rin's face. "But it's not all training storms," he says with a small smile, "I will still have some strength left in my legs meaning if I practice I will be able to get used to walking without wings and strengthen my legs." He tells me and I gave a small sigh of relief but there wasn't much to as I knew this would still affect Rin a bunch. "Indeed, but that will take a lot of work Rin." I here Mephisto say in oh so 'nice' voice. I glare at him and he puts his hands up in defense with a sly grin, I roll my eyes and look back at Rin and I see him inspecting the clown with his eyes. "Take a picture it will last longer," Mephisto says and I was shocked at his rudeness. "Dad can you pass me my phone." He looks at me with a grin. "I WASN'T SERIOUS!" Mephisto yells at Rin. "I am," Rin says back. "Is there something going on here?" I ask irritably, "He had wings and I don't." Mephisto says pouting and turning his back to me and Rin. "You are such a kid." I shake my head.

"Are so!" Rin replies back.
"Am not!"
"Are so!"
"AM NOT!"
"ARE SO!"
"AM NO-" "SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!" I shout at the two males almost kissing. They look at me angrily. "You're both kids," I say and they go to yell at me but I shut them up with a glare and then put and Mephisto walks out. I snicker but end up laughing aloud. Once I calm down I see Rin looking at me carelessly. "Sorry, I've trying to get that damn clown mad for years and just the fact that you had wings made him mad has finally given me a way to tease and make him mad," I tell him and he still looks clueless but leaves it alone.
We sit in silence for a bit until he breaks the silence and I look up to him and hum for him to ask his question. "Do you know who took my wings?" He asks and I'm shocked and confused. "Someone took them?" I ask genuinely not knowing that and he looks at me as if I was just as dumb as him. "Jeez you're dumber than me and that's saying something." He insults me and I go to fight back but before I do he says this. "What you think wings just cut themselves off and vanish?" He says and I hum in agreement as I see where he's coming from and I sigh. "No... No, I don't know who took them." He looks away from med and hums before eventually falling asleep again.
The super hot and big boobed nurses also told me that Rin would have to stay here for a few more days to recuperate. Yukio came in the rest of the days to visit the news and I broke the news to everyone about Rin's legs. They took it well and were willing to help in any way they could but the question was... Was Rin willing to let us help HIM?
