(Third person view)

"What's with the stick?" Shiro asked as Rin came through slightly limping but leaning on the weirdly strong wooden stick or so it appeared, it was taller than Rin himself and had a hook-like shape on the end of it. "Mr. Clown came in and gave it to me and explained some stuff about it," Rin tells them happily. He sits down as everyone's dinner is already at the table including his. He puts the stick against the table and begins to eat. Before anyone else could say anything Rin spoke. "I'm sorry for knocking you out Yukio," Rin said looking up at Yukio halfway through his sentence. "Hey, don't worry about, I'm okay aren't I." It wasn't really a question but just reassurance to Rin. They all knew Rin would feel guilty for hitting Yukio as Rin has never hit his brother and has never wanted to. It means everything to Rin that Yukio isn't scared of him and the fact that Rin just hit Yukio could have made Yukio slightly scared of him but he isn't and that means a lot to Rin. "yeah but I still feel bad." Rin said playing with his food. "Rin, I'm fine don't worry about it." "Alright..." Rin said and they knew they couldn't help him anymore as it was his job to get over the guilt they could only give little help along the way.

"So, what did 'Mr. Clown' say about the stick?" Shiro said quoting Rin's name for Mephisto. "Well, the stick holds power or something I didn't really listen but it holds power to help me walk and make it easier also said I could use to swing and flip around which is pretty easy." He tells them at first they're confused about how it's easy but soon realize. Rin had wings so he probably could do all that easily. He could but not too well he'd need to practice. They continue to eat dinner in a comfortable silence.

After dinner, before they could get up to clean up Rin spoke up. "Can I attend True Cross like Yukio?" He asks looking up at Shiro for the answer which he hoped was a yes but first, he would have to clear the confusion. Shiro looks at everyone confused and they're just as confused he was. "W-Why would you want to do more work?" Shiro asks, "you hated school and that's just more same old school work." "No to become an exorcist like you and Yukio." Rin clears up the confusion and they're all a little shocked. There was a silence for a good minute or so but then Shiro told Rin he would need to think about it first and Rin saw that as fair. Rin went away and Yukio said he would do the washing up Rin agreed and went to his room.

(Shiro pov)

"if we let Rin train to become an exorcist he could go out of control or the Grigori could find out about him! What do we do then?!" Yukio said rather loudly and furiously. "But if we let him he could become the weapon to beat Satan!" I yelled back! I was confused as to why Yukio looked absolutely horrified until I realized what I said. "WAIT NO!" "YOU DISGUST ME!" He shouted before storming off to my son's shared bedroom. I rubbed my temples before looking up and taking a breath. "Is that what you've wanted to do all this time, make them weapons to the Grigori?" One of the clergymen asked and I looked back down from the ceiling to Naoya. I was silent for a moment. "I guess I just always thought Rin wouldn't mind being a weapon, same for Yukio, sometimes I forget their still human and just children," I say more to myself than anyone else as guilt washes over me. "They are both still very human and Rin would be the last person to accept being a weapon. He does things his own way, makes the choices he wants, and never lets people make them for him. So sorry to tell you this but you never had a shot in making him a weapon." Naoya tells me and in the end, I felt as if I already knew all this but told myself I was right with making him a weapon. "yeah, I guess you're right..." I trail off thinking. "None of us know his reasoning but if I had to say it would be because he feels the need to protect Yukio and everyone he cares about, he's always been like that." Izumi breaks the silence and I nod as I know it's most likely true. "I'm scared to say yes in case he's hurt or gets revealed or the Grigori try to kill him," I say with worry as I think. "Well, why not have Kuro be with him at all times, and he cannot tell anyone he's the son of Satan. Means Kuro can watch over him and protect him and make sure he doesn't leak any information about himself that is not needed to be known by exorcists or the Grigori." I think on it for a moment before I nod and hum, "we'll do that." I say as I get up and go to my room to sleep, I hear the other clergymen retire for the night. That night I went to sleep with both worry and relief. Rin would get better but he would be in danger almost twenty-four-seven. He was a demon, the son of Satan in a school for exorcists. Well, I guess many people can't say I'm the son of Satan and studied in an exorcist school.
