Chapter 14

(Third person view)

"So you're telling us that you lied in the report and hid the sons of Satan and raised them?" The female member of The Grigori on the left asked. "Yes," Shiro replied. "Mephisto Pheles you helped with this 'cover-up'?" The left member asked once again. "Indeed I did." The chairman replied. "So you agree to raising the sons of Satan?" The male member on the left. "I did not raise them only sealed Okumura Rin's demon heart in the KuriKara and giving a false report," Mephisto replied. The Grigori fell silent with then chatting amongst themselves for a few moments.

"Very well, the punishment has been decided." The Grigori on the left started and the female member in the middle finished. "Fujimoto Shiro you are exiled from True Cross and your title as Paladin will be taken away from you. Both sons of Satan are to be killed at once." Shiro's eyes widened as he only expected them to kill Rin but both sons being killed is worse than one. He was losing his children he had spent fifteen years raising even if they were just adopted they were special to him, they meant so much to him.

Before any moves could be made or words be said Mephisto spoke up with a smirk. "But I do admit to raising them as weapons." The Grigori looked at him in the face of betrail. "Why would you do that Sir Pheles?! Are you trying to kill us?!" The male Grigori raised his voice. "Why of course not I was just training them to defeat Satan," Mephisto replied oh so calmly with his sly smile. The Grigori took a moment to think about the new information they had just obtained. "How do we know we can trust you? You did just lie to us for the past fifteen years." "No, no, I lied to you in the report other times I either avoided the question or it was never asked. Such accusations are quite rude you know." The male Grigori groaned at the demon's words. "Still how do we know we can trust you?" The male Grigori asked. "Well, I guess you can't but if you killed the sons of Satan now then you just gave up on having a chance of having the greatest weapon in the history of exorcism. That really would be a pitty wouldn't it?" Mephisto asked sarcastically. He knew he would win if he kept this up, he had already intrigued the Grigori now all that was left was to persuade them.

"If we were to continue training them they could defeat Satan. If we kill them now then you just gave up a chance at defeating Satan." The Grigori members thought then discussed among themselves. "Very well, Okumura Yukio will continue as he is now with extra training in his meisters. Okumura Rin will be under constant surveillance by Shiro, Yukio, or Kirigakure Shura." Shiro looked up surprised. "But I thought I-" "Fujimoto Shiro you will keep your title here at True Cross." The Grigori tells Shiro. "And finally both sons of Satan will have sessions of training together." The Grigori dismissed the court session.

Time skip

(Third person view)

Rin dropped on his bed wanting to just disappear. First off his wings were taken away from him now he's under constant surveillance. He has to train harder and for longer than before and he can hardly walk, how was he supposed to accomplish anything at this point.

"How you doing kiddo?" Shiro came into the room and Rin just looked up before plummeting his face into his pillow and groaning. Shiro looked at his son sadly and sighed. "I know you're probably not in the mood but you need to sleep." "..." Shiro turned around and walked out the door and saying 'goodnight' before closing the door.

Rin felt like the whole world was against him, ever since the demons attacked nothing good has happened to him. Everything has just gone downhill and he's no closer to finding out who took his wings much less getting them back.

Mephisto's office

(Third person view)

"Hm, it seems little brother's life just seems to be getting more and more troubled," Mephisto said guilefully. "I wonder what will happen next, do you know what will happen Nii~san?" Amaimon asked sitting on the couch sucking on a lollipop. "Indeed I do," Mephisto said with a sly smile. "What will happen Nii~san?" Amaimon asked another question. "I can't tell you! That would ruin the fun!" Mephisto said playfully. He was excited for the show to come but for now, he would have to deal with the story leading up to it.
