We had been doing a test in the old dormitory for the last hour and Yukio was watching over us just so we didn't cheat or just wander off like I wanted to do so badly right now. As usual, I was feeling down but at least becoming an exorcist kept my mind off of everything, these days becoming an exorcist is the only thing keeping me from just lying in my bed all day and wishing I had my wings. "Alright, that's enough for today we can go over the answers tomorrow." Yukio broke the silence as he stood up and started to collect the test sheets. "I'm gonna go get some air," I told everyone but mainly towards Yukio, I put my hands in my pocket and began my way down the hallway when I saw and heard an exchange of words between Shiemi and Izumo. Once Shiemi was left outside and started to walk away Rin ran up to her and grabbed her shoulder forcefully turning her to face him. "What the hell are you doing?!" Rin said rather angrily. "I'm going to bu some stuff for Izumo because she said so." "YOU THINK THAT'S BEING A FRIEND YOU'RE JUST BEING HER BITCH!" Shiemi looked shocked and disgusted. "I am not her bitch! I am her friend!" Shiemi said rather angrily and disgusted by my choice of words. She walked away and I frowned before turning around and walking into the girls' bathroom. "I'm sorry but I'm quitting cram school." W-Wh-" "Stop making Shiemi your bitc- you're errand girl and treat her like a friend or tell her you were never her friend at all." Rin told her looking a little pissed off at her and his anger leaked into his voice ever so slightly. "No, she wants to think life is full of flowers and bright blue skies and be naive that's her problem, I'll just use it to my advantage." She told me and I looked at her angrily. "What so I can take advantage of you?" I ask and she looks at me and scoffs. "As if." "You're afraid of being alone and I can everyone a little rumor and you can be alone, then if you do as I say I'll tell them it was fake news I heard." She looked at my horrified and scoffed a little less confidently this time. "Like anyone would believe you." She says I go out and call on everyone. "OKAY, OKAY! I'LL TELL HE-" "AHHHHHH!!!" She was cut off by a terrifying scream and I saw Paku looking up and I followed her gave to see a demon stuck to the ceiling.
"WHAT THE HELL!" I shouted as it jumped down and went after Paku, it got a few cuts on her before she fell unconscious and I saw Izumo summon her familiars from earlier. I looked back to the demon before hearing another scream nd her familiars where on their way to attack her, I dropped my stick and walked as fast as I could and managed to get in front of her as he wasn't very far away from me, I punched the demons and I told Izumo to tear up the paper, she did so and I turned back to the problem at hand. It raced forward and walked as fast as I could before punching, scratching and kicking it whenever I could get a hit on it, I had climbed onto its back as it tried to get me off and eventually it grabbed the back of my color and threw me off its back and onto the ground and with a sound and a groan I hit the ground. My eyes closed as I tried to swallow the pain but they opened again when its hand wrapped itself around my neck and picked me up tried to get my words out. "Let go!!" I shouted as I was pinned against the wall opposite the lockers. "LET GO!!!" I shouted but it didn't budge. "I do not obey those without wings, you are no prince without wings!!!" It said rather quietly between gurgles and groans that were inhuman. I lay there pinned against the wall lifelessly with shocked eyes as I finally realized many things and one of which was that I had really lost my wings.
BANG BANG BANG
The Neberius finished into black and was gone, "RIN!!" I heard my brother in a panicked and concerned voice. He came over to me and shook me and kept calling my name but I was toon lost in thoughts and shock to respond. "What happened?" I heard a familiar voice and I heard a few other voices talking but I couldn't make out what they ere saying as I thought about what was said and the many things I had now realized.
"Rin, are you alright?" After a few minutes, I finally responded. "Yeah, I'm fine," I said getting up and walking off. I heard Yukio calling my name but I didn't turn around, I ignored him and continued to walk away and up to the roof so I could be alone and think. To think about the things I realized.
one, I had lost my wings physically and mentally. I wasn't respected by humans and not even demons who are lower than humans.
Two, people didn't put me in a bad mood, I was just always in a sad mood because I was mourning the loss of my wings.
three, there's nothing I can do about it...
