I woke up to my alarm with a heavy groan and a pounding headache. I may drink wine a lot but I never drink the hard stuff. And last night I drank way too much. But at least I won even if it feels like I really didn't. I was so hungover I didn't want to get up. But I knew I had to. I had training with Chaska. And if he gets sent to the states I want to be sure he can protect himself since I won't be there for him.
I got up and started getting ready, trying not to wake up Finn but failed though when I stubbed my toe and groaned too loud. He sat up and looked at me with a stupid grin on his face, his eyes looking me over until they stopped moving and narrowed. And then he grinned even bigger.
"Must be cold in here." He teased, looking directly at my chest.
This is why I always wear a bra.
"No I've been pulling on them."
Finn's eyes went wide and then he started laughing. "I throughly enjoy almost everything you say."
I put a sports bra on and finished getting ready even though my weirdo was still staring at me. "Quit staring at me and go back to sleep."
He shook his head and pointed to his lips as I headed for the door. I rolled my eyes and made my way over to him and kissed his annoying ass. He pulled me back for one more and then flopped back down and closed his eyes.
"Have fun. I love you."
"I love you too Finn."
Gryffin was awake and reading when I went to check on them and see if he was up. He's usually an early riser too and the days he's up I take him with me to train with Chaska. He sits in the corner and reads but he's happy with me. I've even caught him practicing some fighting moves with us and I think it's adorable.
I waved my hands as I entered the room and got his attention. He smiled and came to hug me after tossing his book aside.
Training Chaska. Want to go?
He nodded and smiled even bigger.
Okay. Change into something comfy and put on shoes and pick the book you want to bring. I'll be in the kitchen.
He nodded and started to do what I went to the kitchen to fill water bottles and grab snacks. Rudy and Lily we're both up eating some of the fruit salad left from the birthday party. They looked pretty tired too.
"Want me to make you something to eat before I go?" I asked as I wrote down my pancake recipe for Halley since everyone would be sleeping in today. I made sure to fold it and put her name on it and DO NOT READ for any wandering eyes. No one is allowed to know my recipes except for Halley.
"I'm okay but if you're going into town would you mind picking me up some of those granola bars you got last time? And chocolate. It's shark week for me and Halley and we need chocolate."
I started a list and asked Rudy if he wanted anything too.
"More sourdough bread. I don't eat much in the morning but I like toast and I'm out. And we're almost out of butter too."
We can't have that happening. No way will I run out of butter.
"Can I be picky though?"
I nodded and he gave me a shy smile and looked down at his bowl. "Can you make it? It's way better when you make it."
I chuckled and added heavy cream to the list too. My butter is the best I don't blame him for wanting me to make it. I should make a lot this time though. We seem to be going through butter a lot. I think I'm rubbing off on everyone here. I put butter on everything.
