I got up before everyone and started packing bags for the kids, Finn, and I since we'd probably end up staying the night. I also packed an ice chest full of beef and pork for my family too. I haven't been back in a while and I'm sure they're low on meat and could use some and we had plenty to spare. I'd have to make sure someone picked up our next rounds while we're gone too.

I packed some snacks and drinks in a bag for the drive and made sure everything was loaded up and ready to go before waking everyone up. Gryffin was still asleep so I didn't bother him or Shasta and decided to get the adults going first. I got Finch and Tommy to rise from the dead and then went for Finn.

"Hey. Wake up. It's time to get ready."

He turned over and ignored me so I shook him again.

"Five more minutes." He whined, burying his face in the pillow.

"Get up Finn."

"No."

Fine.

I'll do it the hard way.

I backed up a few steps and then jumped on top of him with all of my weight. He made a weird sound and then shot up, knocking me onto the floor but I didn't care. I was laughing too hard. He turned around and glared at me and it made me laugh even harder.

"I hate you." He hissed, rubbing his tired eyes.

"No you don't. Get up and get ready."

He huffed and got up, glaring at me as he went into the bathroom and shut the door. Now it's time to get ready myself and then wake up the kids. Once I finished getting dressed and situated my weapons I went down to the kids room.

Gryffin was awake and reading while Shasta was dead asleep and snoring as loud as Finn and Booker do. I guess it's a good thing he's deaf. I waved my hand and he looked up from his book and smiled.

Good morning. We're going to leave soon. Can you get ready for me?

He nodded and got up, heading for his dresser as I started to wake Shasta up. She cracked her eyes open to glare at me and turned over, going back to sleep.

"Come on Little One. We have to go somewhere."

She shoved me off again and pulled the blanket over her head grumpily. Well then. She really does take after her father.

"Five more minutes." She whined as I pulled the blanket away.

"You can sleep in the car. Come on Shasta."

She huffed as she sat up and glared at me, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't want to."

I rolled my eyes and handed her her outfit. "Well you have to. So get dressed."

Once she was done I had both of them brush their teeth and I worked on brushing Shasta's hair before they were ready to go. By the time they were done everyone else was too. Right as I opened the door Booker came in and stared right at me. I have to leave him here though there's no room in the jeep. I'm about to get even more attitude this morning.

"Sorry Buddy no room. I'll be back tomorrow."

Booker narrowed his eyes at me and tried to go out the door anyways. I stopped him and shook my head, nudging him back.

"No Booker. Not this time."

He glared at me harder before grunting and walked away with his nose in the air out to the backyard.

Looks like everyone is pissy this morning.

Finn, Shasta, and Tommy were still grumpy so I made them sit in the back and put Finch and Gryffin up front with me. Not even twenty minutes into the drive the three in the back were dead asleep and snoring away. It's a good thing us three up front can sign and won't take any chances waking them up by talking. Gryffin was reading a book and stopped to look up at me, waving his hand to get my attention.
