I woke up early as usual and sat up with a yawn and stretch. I looked down at Finn, my smile so big my face hurt. I can't believe he said yes to adopting him. I'm going to let him think on it for a couple of days but I hope he doesn't change his mind.

I don't want to jump the gun but I definitely needed to see Nixon today and tell him the good news. I know how much he cares for my boy and how excited he'll be. I might actually get to keep him like I've wanted since day one. The Fates were definitely on my side.

I looked to my right to check on the kids that slept between us. Shasta was still passed out but my boy was awake too and smiled and waved as he looked up from his book at me.

Good morning my sweet boy. Did you sleep good?

He nodded, his smile suddenly falling.

What's wrong?

I don't want to go.

I didn't want him to go either.

I promise we'll have a sleep over again soon okay? I'm not going away. Never ever remember?

He smiled a little and nodded but I could tell he was still sad.

Want to spend the rest of the day together? Just us? We can do anything you want.

His smile was huge now as he nodded again. Mr. Nixon says there's a place here where there's lots of books to read. Can we go there? I like it when you read me stories. You always choose the best ones!

We can definitely do that. I checked the time on my iPod and it was 6:30 in the morning. Shasta and Finn won't be waking up any time soon. I'll just leave Finn a note. We're walking distance from the house at our camping spot so maybe I'll leave the jeep for him and Shasta and we'll take the other one.

Can you start packing our bags while I get everything ready for them? We have to go home first but then we'll go to the place with all the books. For as long as you want.

He nodded and began helping me as I organized and packed the rest of our things and loaded them into the back of the jeep. Booker was watching us the whole time we worked and I couldn't help but to smile the whole time. He was such a good helper. All that was left was Shasta and Finn's sleeping bags and pillows, the tent, and the tarp underneath it. I'm sure Finn can handle the rest.

I wrote a note and left it next to him to read when he wakes up. It's kind of been our thing for a while now. Well my thing. I know he misses waking up next to me but Chaska needed training to win the fight. After the fight I'm going to switch to just nights but for now we need practice twice a day. I feel bad I haven't been home much but I'm going to work on that. For now I'll leave him little notes until we get back to our normal routine.

I kissed both of my sleeping loves on their foreheads before grabbing my backpack and handed my boy his dragon. I gestured for Booker to follow and he immediately came to my side as the three of us headed back towards my house. Well hopefully ours if Finn doesn't change his mind. I really hope he doesn't.

I packed everything into his suitcase after changing him into a new outfit for the day. We both dressed in cozy outfits, well pajamas, to be comfy for our library day. I made us a lunch to bring as he colored and shoved some of my books into my backpack to trade for new ones. I packed enough books for both of us to have a few new books to read and I was happy about that. I wore out my books on the sail over here I needed some fresh reads.

Are we bringing Booker? He asked as he scratched my dog in his favorite spot.

We can if you would like to.
