Chapter 26 - Angelsé

3rd Person's POV:

"Have you seen my sister's new vlog?" Park Jimin, for the nth time today, asks Junkook who locked himself in the studio because he's working on Jennie Kim's new comeback.

If only her boyfriend would leave him alone, he'd be able to finish two albums already.

"Jimin. For the love of God. Just because you have the same surname, doesn't mean she's your sister. If that applies to everything, you'd have half of Korea's population as your siblings."

Jimin sharply inhales. "You traitor, you haven't followed her yet!"

Jungkook finally looks at Jimin and sees him holding his phone. He's finally done for today. He can't work on anything if this dude keeps bugging him.

"Isn't Jennie jealous of that girl? You've been talking about her for a month already." He says as he harshly takes his phone from Jimin.

"For your information, Jennie knows her. She's the one who told me that Angelsé can pass off as my sister."

Ah. That's why Jimin's hooked. Jennie Kim has been feeding his fantasies of having a sister. He already has a narrative for it. Like they grew apart and her sister was sent to Australia but now they know of each other's existence and are planning to meet.

If that girl's a scam, Jimin's gonna be crying his ass for over a year.

He looks at his phone who's still showing the channel of that girl, Angelsé. That girl who vlogs her month long stay in Japan. She does have Jimin cheeks. But is that even enough?

"I'm so excited. I'm gonna meet her next month! And also, I got a shoutout in her new vlog. She starts calling me oppa." Jimin brags to him.

"Of course. After you spammed her account, she has to finally address you so you can stop."

He tries his best to turn down Jimin, but that guy just can't let anyone rain on his parade. "I swear, Kook. She's the girl in the paintings."

Ah. That girl. All of their friends have the painting of a girl with golden hair. Hoseok has it in his club, where the "golden girl" is sitting in front of a bar's counter, mixed drink on hand as she puts it in front of a guy she's sitting next to. Hoseok loves that painting because it's a blur of colors but only the girl looks perfectly clear. But the mystery of it is her face is somehow hidden by her golden hair but her smile radiates.

Jimin also has a painting of the golden girl in his living room. The golden girl is in a studio, with lyrics of his song from five years ago written on it. Face hidden with the studio's microphone.

Everyone has it. And she's everywhere in it. Jin's kitchen. Jisoo's favorite chicken place. Under the northern lights where Tae and Lisa got engaged. Namjoon's game's testing room. Jennie's dressing room after her debut in AGD. And even just a normal painting of her in a balcony, standing with her back facing everyone. Her golden hair flowed down to her waist. That one can be found in Yoongi's office.

And of course, there's a painting of her in Jungkook's room.

She's on a beach. Standing in front of a guy, her hair waving through the breeze. As he stares on it a little longer, the image starts to look as if the two were dancing.

But the thing is... nobody knows her. She just seems like she exists and doesn't exist at all. But everyone loves having her. The golden girl.

That's why Jimin can dream all he wants that Angelsé is his sister but not their golden girl. No. She'll become real if that happens.
