Adeline's POV
I sit with my legs pulled to my chest as Five walks into my room, a concerned look on his face as sighs deeply. I raise an eyebrow at him, unfolding myself as he closes the door gently behind him.
"Five? What's wrong?" I ask as he sits on the edge of my bed, facing away from me as he holds his head up in his hands
He stays silent for a minute "I need you're help" He simply utters
I stand up from the bed, moving around to him and sitting beside him "What happened?" I softly ask, a new found calmness being around him
He looks up at me with stressed eyes "It's Klaus" I mumbles "Something is seriously wrong with him"
My eyes widen as I place my hand gently on his back, trying to comfort him. He jumps slightly at my touch as he looks up at me "What's wrong with Klaus, Five? Where is he?"
"He came home... but something happened"
I frown down at the floor in front of us. I was happy he was home, but the way Five was acting made me nervous and worried.
"Come with me" He simply utters, standing from my bed and gesturing me to follow him
As we walk down the hall together, we come close to Klaus's room. He stops, and eyes something on the floor in front of us. My eyes widen brightly as I notice the blood on the floor, leading to the bathroom. I follow the bloody footprints with my eyes, leading to the open bathroom door in front of us. Bloody hand prints lined the bathtub walls. I turn to look at Five, his eyes not moving from the scene in front of us.
Suddenly, Five begins walking again, this time, stopping in front of Klaus's open door as he slowly pulls his t-shirt over his exposed chest. Every muscle in his lower stomach protruding through as they peak away under his loose grey shirt.
I frown, stepping in with Five as Klaus has his back to us. I notice his emotions, and I could feel every battle going on inside of Klaus. His energy was nervous and pained.
"Klaus?" I whimper, looking up at him as he turns to look at the both of us, furiously scratching at his shoulder blade
He gives a small sad smile, his eyes only begging for understanding.
"You okay?" Five utters quietly, Klaus's eyes following up to his
"Yeah, I just... long night" He replies, his voice slow and quiet
This wasn't the Klaus I was used to. He no longer tried to hide the real emotions that peaked through at the best of times. He simply showed all of it. Raw. What had happened that made him this real?
Five softly chuckles at him, his hands slipping into the pockets of his school boy shorts "More than one, by the looks of it"
"Yeah" Klaus was quick to brush him off
Five pauses, his eyes circling the dog tags hung around his neck as he thinks the exact same thing as I do "Don't remember the dog tags"
Klaus looks down at them with soft eyes "Yeah, they belonged to a friend" He mutters as he picks them up and twist them between his fingers, his eyes fading out as he seems thoughtful and empty
"How about that new tattoo?" Five says gently, his tone not leaking a single drop of smug arrogance
Klaus sighs, lifting his arm to look at it as he becomes tired of the conversation "You know, I don't totally remember even getting it. Like I said, it was a long night"
