Klaus's POV
As we pulled quickly up a long, winding dirt road, the night sky shone brightly with stars above us. Allison had talked on the car ride here about surely that was a sign. I hoped she was right on that.
Diego had his foot flat on the gas as dirt flew up at the car. Luther and I were both squished together in the back. I held on tightly as I felt the car drift out of Diego's control every now and again. We couldn't have been far now. I had developed a horrific headache during the car ride there. Now, it was thumping loudly in my head, making it almost impossible to hear what Allison was talking to Diego quietly about in the front seat.
I tried to take my mind off it, by rehearsing all the things I had to say to her when we found her. I had to talk about all the fucked up shit I hadn't managed to quite wrap my head around about our past.
And though none of my other siblings knew about her, it baffled me that Allison did.
"Here! Stop here" Allison says, holding her phone closely to her face as she threw her hand out to Diego, the screen illuminating the front right of the car.
Diego slows, pulling the car into a small cut out in the road. The whole car fulls silent and tense as he switches the engine off, leaving us all in the quiet, eerie sound of the empty night around us.
"The warehouse is about a ten minute walk from here. If we get out here, they won't know we are coming" She says, switching her phone off and turning to look at Luther and I sternly
I nod, opening my door as I become thankful for the free space around me that I had outside of the car. As everyone else's door slams shut, I stretch, holding my hand up to my forehead in pain. Allison notices, and frowns at me.
"Klaus? Whats wrong?" She asks, moving her hand to touch my forehead
I shrug, rubbing pressured circles around the spot it hurt most "I don't know. The whole ride here I've just had a... monster headache"
She looks at me with concern, before turning to the others "That can't be good. Come on, we have to get to her"
******
I look up at the large, dark warehouse. It's outsides looking abandoned and torn. I look to my right as a small crunching noise vibrates through the silent night air.
Diego drops the padlock from the small side door to the overgrown grass below, a small thud as it falls. He pushes it open with a small creak, as he turns to look at the rest of us. Everyone else was spread out across the land out front.
Luther was walking back from the tree line after announcing he needed to pee a minute before, and Allison was rested against the nearby tree, her knees pulled to her chest as she tries to stay warm. Diego hadn't had much luck with the lock for about twenty minutes. At least now we were getting somewhere.
"Come on" Diego mutters, stepping inside as Luther helps Allison to her feet, walking up behind us
As we enter the large open space, the darkness causes all of us to squint. Diego flicked on a small torch, balancing it in his left arm that still had a sling wrapped around it tightly as it illuminated a tiny area in front of us. He tightly holds a knife in his other hand. I walk close behind him, Allison and Luther close behind me.
The warehouse quiet. Not even an owl hooting outside could be heard as we stepped further into the large open floor plan.
I could feel my legs shaking nervously. If I was Luther or Diego, I would tell you it was merely because of the cold. But I'm not them, and I knew they were shaking like crazy because I was terrified, my pride and ego unscathed.
