Adeline's POV
"Pogo!" I call as I chase after him, running up the staircase as Pogo stops to participate in my query
"Miss Adeline, how can I help you?" He asks, turning his full attention to me as I approach him
"Pogo, I need to ask you something" I say through a slightly puffed voice "Klaus showed me something last night and... and I think maybe you could help explain it"
He raises an eyebrow at me, before taking my hand and leading me into Reginalds office, closing the door behind him.
"And what is this thing that Klaus showed you?" He asks, his usual soft and friendly voice no longer passive
"The scar" I utter and Pogo immediately frowns at me in horrified disgust "On our back, and wrist... Why do we both have them?" I ask and Pogo shakes his head at the floor
"I can not help you, Adeline. You need to take these theories and leave it alone" He shuts me down
I shake my head in confusion. Why was he acting like this? What was he hiding from me?
"Wait, Pogo I-"
"No! Get out, Adeline. I will not have you fill Klaus's head with poison! Drop these thoughts, forget about them! Now go!" He insists, throwing his tone at me as I try to explain
"So that's it?" I say in frustration as Pogo pushes me out of the office
"Goodbye, Miss Adeline" He sternly says, before shutting the office door, not another word exchanged.
I frown down at the floor, curious as to why he had such a reaction. As I turn behind me, I see Klaus peaking around the corner at me, watching the end of those events unfold. He shrugs my way before unfolding out from behind cover.
"What happened?" He asks as I near him
I shake my head, looking down at the floor as I stopped beside him "He lost his shit. Started yelling about how I was 'Filling your head with poison'" I frown and Klaus looks at me with shock
I think for a moment before carrying on conversation "He's hiding something Klaus... I don't know what... but it's something big" I say and Klaus nods in agreement "We have to find out what he's hiding"

As I lay on Klaus's bed, my head hanging down over the edge as I watched Klaus light a spliff in his mouth. Slowly as he walks back over to me, swaying his hips slightly, the glass of whiskey he picked out before splashing around in his hands.
In the background, I could faintly hear Fly by Bloodwitch playing. It was so muffled by my thoughts, that it seemed like white noise in my head.
"You know," Klaus begins, falling onto the bed beside me as I rolled over and looked up at him "You are quite a strange soul" He utters, as I raise an eyebrow at him
"How so?"
"I don't know" He utters through a croaky voice as he holds in a lung full of smoke "But you just have this way about you," He exhales deeply, bringing the the glass to his lips "A sort of... familiar way, you know?"
My eyes widen at his words, curious to find out what he meant. Deep down, I know what he meant.
"No, enlighten me" I utter
"I just feel like I have known you before. Like, looking back over my life, and seeing you suddenly there in all these memories that just didn't happen, it just makes me feel very familiar" He shrugs, closing his eyes as he takes a sip from his glass
