Josh blinked his eyes open, the sound of rapid footsteps scrambling up the stairs waking him. 

"Winter? Is that you?" He looked over at his alarm clock, "It is 8 am, what the hell are you doing in my room?" He grumbled. Winter retreated back down and popped her head round the bannister. 

"Just taking pictures of you and your girlfriend" She giggled, then scampered up the stairs again crashing into Claire and her mum. "Don't mind me, definetly not making fun off Josh and his super obvious crush on Olivia." She sung-shouted towards Josh's room. 

"SHUT UP WINTER I SWEAR TO GOD- Oh sorry Liv I didn't mean to wake you up." Josh's little apology to Olivia just made his mum and sister laugh more. Olivia slid out of Josh's bed with a groan, and headed to the bathroom. She came out as Josh was shrugging on a new shirt, blushing slightly and avoiding eye contact as Josh pulled the shirt down. She handed him Claire's clothes with a smile. "Did you hear what Winter said?" He asked blatantly,

"Yeah..." 

"Oh"

"It was cute" Not giving him time to reply or comprehend what she was saying, she grabbed his hand and headed up the stairs towards his family. Noticing his families eyes' tracing their conjoined hands she dropped his quickly. "Thank you for having me, I'm sorry it was so abrupt. We didn't really take in traffic times and thank you for letting me borrow your clothes Claire" Olivia rambled, feeling very awkward as she stood in the kitchen of the boy she liked's family. 

"Come on you two, sit and have breakfast. Josh get a chair for Olivia." Laura grinned as she put the plates down on the table.

"I'm sure they could share a seat" Claire smirked earning a high five from Winter, a shake of the head from her Mom and a glare from Josh. Both of which she shrugged off and laughed with her sister. Josh squeezed a stool in next to his usual seat, between Claire and Winter which could only mean trouble. 

"You take my seat Liv" He said as he settled on the wobbly stool, he pushed her into the chair as she tried to protest saying she'd turned up unnanounced. Suddenly phone notifications and stifled laughs swarmed the table. Winter grinned a proud smile from next to Olivia. Olivia flushed deep red in embarassment as she caught a glimpse of the photo on Winter's phone. 

"Aww our Joshy's growing up" Alison crooned with a pout aimed at Josh. 

"Hey" He threatened, stabbing his fork into his pancakes in an attempt to be threatening, which only caused Olivia and his sisters to laugh more. "No one calls me Joshy anymore" 

"You sure about that?" Olivia smiled, "Joshy" He turned to face her, feigning pain. 

"You too?"

"Sorry man, don't hate the player hate the game" She shrugged and turned to Winter, "Can you send me that photo?" Winter smiled and looked passed Olivia to Josh and mouthed 'I like her' 

Josh glared and threw a banana at her. She ducked underneath and it smacked Hannah in the face. "Oh my god" She whispered in anger before reaching for an apple. 

"Okay, I never thought I'd say this but no more fruit" Laura scolded as she stole the fruit bowl away. "Winter apologise to Josh and Olivia. Josh apologise to Winter and Hannah. I'm sorry Olivia, we're not usually this crazy." 

"I think it's cool, I would have loved to have a big family like this growing up" She smiled, which Laura reciprocrated. I like her. 

"No it's not fine, they're insane" Josh hissed at Winter. "Delete that picture."

"Oops" She shouted, "Oh I accidentally sent it to Olivia what a shame" Her voice was dripping with sarcasm. Olivia giggled as she saved the photo to her phone. "Liivvv, delete iiitt" Josh pouted, the sudden change in attitude caused an eyebrow raise by Claire as she sipped her coffee. 

"Nope" She grinned waving it away from him, "It's cute."

"You are literally tiny, I can just take it from you" He deadpanned with his arms crossed.

"But you won't" She smirked as she put her phone away. 

"Yeah you're right" His voice sunk. She sadly patted him on the shoulder in solidarity.

"Becauuse you looovvee her" Winter cooed. Josh grabbed the closest thing which just happened to be a knife and prepared to through it.

"Nope." She snapped as she snatched the knife out of his hand. 

"Thank you Olivia" Laura smiled, then turned to blank as she faced her son and took away his plate and cutlery. "I don't want you killing one of your sisters" 

"What?" He stammered, "She started it" He pointed at Winter accusitorily as she laughed. 

"You too Winter" Laura said as she took her plate too, her laugh stopped instantly and she focused all her energy on glaring at Josh. 

"Hey Josh. Can I see your hands?" She smirked, 

"You're so weird" He murmured as he held up his hands. "Oh" Realising Olvia had never let go of his hand he shoved their hands back under the table. Soon breakfast was over and it was a miracle no one was dead. Olivia was standing at the door with Josh, saying goodbye to his family.

"Thank you so much for having me" She grinned and looked up at Josh, who smiled back and grabbed her hand again. 

"You're welcome anytime Olivia, you make Josh less annoying" She laughed as she leant forward to say the last part. Olivia laughed her signature laugh and squeezed Josh's hand again. "And I can tell he really likes you" 

"Muuu-" Josh groaned, but he was cut of by Olivia's reply, which left him speechleess.

"Thanks. I really like him too. You did a great job" Laura grinned gratefully and pulled Olivia into a hug. Then rest of the family joined in, leaving Josh standing at the door. As Olivia pulled away, she noticed the sullen look on his face and pulled him into a hug too. "Happy?" She teased.

"Very."

He was. And everyone could tell. That breakfast may have been a whole nother level of chaotic but it resulted in Olivia getting that patented Laura Bassett seal of approval and Olivia got a new homescreen.
