My mind began to wonder as organized the evidence Julian Albert had requested. Ever since my talk with Cisco I couldn't stop thinking about my sister and her wanting me to be the next Artemis. There had to be a reason for that decision, especially because I knew that she loved being a vigilante. In fact I had noticed that she felt unfufilled being her desk at S.T.A.R. Labs, knowing that she didn't have many chances to be the hero Oliver Queen had helped her become.
"Jade?" A familiar voice called out from behind one to the large metal shelves. I considered ignoring it for a moment before realizing that there was no ignoring as he was already headed for my desk.
"What is it this time?" I questioned as I looked up to meet Wally's eyes who seemed to be plagued with many conflicted emotions. Looking away I continued to organize all the recent files on the husk that have been appearing all around Central City. "It seems you believe me to be your personal therapist."
"Everyone seemed to have an opinion. And I need to talk to someone who doesn't care." He stated, and I simply remained silent allowing him to continue with whatever it was he seemed to want to say. "I've been having dreams."
"We all have dreams Wally." I replied, and although I could see that there was something that was weighing heavily on him I couldn't understand what dream had anything to do with it.
He chuckled shaking his head making the box of evidence away from me, forcing my attention towards him. "No but in these dreams I'm a Speedster. I'm the Flash."
Frankie Kane and Edward Clariss came to mind as I realized what Wally was telling me. "Wait. Like Alchemy dreams?"
"That's what everyone seems to think they are. But they're not bad dreams. I'm helping people. I'm a hero." He continued the passion in his eyes dangerous. Remembering the conversation we had about Jesse being a speedster I initially dismissed his desire for jealousy. Also wanting to have amazing abilities, but it seemed to be more than that. He truly wanted to help people. "I told Barry and he says I was a speedster in Flashpoint."
"Wally I'm not so sure this is a good thing."
Wally shook his head clearly disappointed with my words. "Please don't... that's what everyone else keeps telling me. You're supposed to not care."
"What else are you seeing in your dreams?" I questioned instead, mostly curious if maybe my sister was present in this other timeline. Sometimes I felt pathetic at wanting any bit of information I could get on Diane. Considering we all agreed to not hear anything about Flashpoint it seemed wrong to ask Barry what my sister was like in this other timeline.
Oddly enough my question caused Wally to avert his eyes. He almost seemed to flush as he suddenly seemed to become nervous. "That doesn't really matter. I mean...really not important now. Maybe like later...on...from now."
"You're starting to sound like Barry." I stated, his current rambling seeming out of character. "I'm not sure that's a good thing. Actually, I know it's not."
Wally seemed surprised to hear this, though there seemed to be hurt in his eyes. "You seem to be the only person who prefers me to Barry."
"I never said I did."
He forced a confident smile that wasn't able to hide how he truly felt. "Yeah, but I feel like it was implied."
