what a shame
you have become
a grown up
who still seeks
validity from people,
like a kid
asking his mom
"am i doing good?"
"do you think they'll like me?"
"am i fit for this career?"
"am i successful now?".
what a shame
you still wait
for that damn approval,
as if your life
fully depends on it,
you don't find joy
in your own craft
not until they say
"it's perfect",
you don't see
how skilled, talented
and enough you already are
'cause you keep on
waiting for affirmation
from the wrong people.
