“Why did you agree in Joo Hyun’s plan? Baboya?!” he asked himself “It’s clear that you’ll get hurt in the end. You know they like each other.” Chanyeol continued when he noticed some people are looking at his direction he smiled awkwardly and slightly bowed. He cursed himself silently “I shouldn’t have agreed” he thought “I already like her this much, I’m afraid I can’t give her up in time.” He shook his head as he walks his way home

The next day, Joo Hyun and Chanyeol left earlier than usual. Her wearing the heels Jungmin gave they’d foreseen they might be late if they left the usual.
Yonghwa was waiting for Joo Hyun to come while watching tv with his omma. He has grown impatient when he looked at the watch and she’s 3 minutes late.
He stood up and paced in front of the television. “I’ll give her 2 minutes more.” He thought “Maybe Joo Hyun omma has kept her for an errand. Or maybe she’s sick again?” his thought made him worry
“Yah! Will you stop that? I’m watching television!” his mom said in a loud voice that made him jump “Go to her house instead!” his mom continued as if she can read his thoughts, and before he can ask her “You’re my son, I can read you like a book. KA!”
“Arasso!” he said as he head to the door, still amazed at his mother’s power “Mom, are we perhaps related to Edward Cullen?” he asked that earned him a flying throw pillow, he caught it and threw it back chuckling “Bye mom! Love you!”

“Joo Hyun-ah!” he called her name as he peaks outside their gate “Joo Hyun-ah!”
He felt his heart race as he watch the door opened slowly “Yonghwa-ah, Joo Hyun went to school a while ago with Chanyeol-ssi” Joo Hyun omma said that made his heart sank.
“Oh, thank you Auntie, I’ll go ahead.” He said backing away from the gate and made his way to school furious
“Wait till I see you later Seo Joo Hyun!” he muttered
When Yonghwa arrived he saw Joo Hyun sitting on her seat while Chanyeol is knelt in front of her looking at her right foot
“YAH!” he approached her hurriedly and grabbed her wrist “Come with me!” he started to drag her
“Yah! You’re hurting her.” Chanyeol held his wrist to stop him
“You! Stay out of this.” He said dangerously his eyes looked at him sharply
Joo Hyun removed Chanyeol’s hand from Yonghwa’s wrist gently and said “It’s okay, I’ll talk to him. Don’t worry.” She said while holding his hand firmly
“Arasso.” he said worry mirrored his eyes. “Just be careful, he looks like a beast just now.” He whispered to her ear quickly that made her smile widely
Seeing the gesture made Yonghwa more furious. He dragged her once more.
“Do you desperately want to be with Chanyeol that you left early without me knowing?!” he said as he drag her
“Yonghwa-ah it hurts, my shoe...” She called but he didn’t listen
“I was like a fool worrying for you but it turned out that you left with him!” he continued too angry to listen
“Class is going to start soon.” She continued when she saw Yonghwa is heading outside the school grounds
“We’re going to skip school and talk.” He answered and noticed she is limping as she walks. He looked at her feet and guilt rushed down his spine when he realized she was walking with one shoe “Where is your other shoe?” he asked
“Chanyeol was putting a plaster on my blister when you dragged me out, so he has my other shoe.” She said almost in tears
“Why didn’t you say so?” he tried to pass the blame, his anger changed to guilt “Kwenchana?” he asked when she didn’t answer. He then checked her foot “Mianhe.” He said as he calmed down, he then turned his back and bend his knees “I’ll give you a ride.” He motioned her to ride on his back
Joo Hyun was surprised with the act and was dumbfounded “A-aniya, kwenchana.” She refused after a while
He stood and faced her “Aish! Are you going to make me beg?!” he then went back in position “Come on, pali! Before I change my mind.”
“A-arasso.” she said and stepped closer and rode his back.
Yonghwa stood up “Hmn, it has been a while since I’ve given you a piggy back ride, ne?” he asked a bit nostalgic “When was the last time?
“We were in Elementary.” She replied her arms encircling Yonghwa’s neck for support
Yonghwa chuckled “Yes. Were we 9 that time? I thought my back was going to break that day.” He teased
“Yah!” she whined which made him laugh
“You’re lighter now.” He said while adjusting her on his back, they both smiled tenderly
Joo Hyun is savouring the moment, her heart swelled, she has been imagining this thing to happen and now it came true. She closed her eyes and filled her lungs with his scent and hugged him tightly from the back to feel his warmth.
“I miss these.” Joo Hyun said
“What do you mean?” he replied
“This. Both of us like this, not quarrelling.” Joo Hyun said almost whispering
Yonghwa smiled lightly “Yeah, it has been a while.” He said “I didn’t even realize how I missed you till now.” He continued
Joo Hyun smiled gladly “Where are we going?” she asked
“You want to go to the river where we used to play when we were little?” he asked
“Yes.” She answered happily “But its quiet far, are you going to carry me till there?” she said worried
“Kwenchana.” He answered
They stopped for rest every now and then until they reached the river. Its crystalline-like water flowing freely, listening to it flowing seems like all stressed muscles loosens up and relaxed. They can hear the birds chirping.
Yonghwa lay her on a grass carefully. He looked at her feet and touched it. “Is it okay?”
“Yeah. Thank you. You should take a rest for a while.” She suggested
“I’m okay.” He stretched out and lie on the grass
“Otoke, I left my lunch box at school.” She said worried
“We’ll just share my meal later.” He answered as he close his eyes, not later, his breathing became relax and even
Joo Hyun looked the man lying in front of her. His beautiful eyes closed his high bridged nose and his inviting red lips. She arranged his hair away from his forehead and stare at him tenderly.
“If only you feel the same.” She whispered a tear escaped her eye she wiped it hurriedly as soon as she realize what she is doing, she lay beside him and closed her eyes she then drifted to sleep.
