Shin Hye has been bothered since Yonghwa told her they have to talk. Her gut tells her that her time is up. She paced, right hand on her forehead, left hand on waist thinking of a solution. “God knows I’ve done my best.” She said “Otoke?” she sighed and wiped the tear that escaped her eyes

She was holding her phone deciding whether to call or text Yonghwa when it rang. Her heart raced as she looked at the screen contemplating whether to answer or not. She sucked her breath before she connected “Oh Oppa! Wae?” she faked a cheerful voice

“Oh, where are you?” he said while covering his other ear to hear clearly

“I’m at my apartment. Wae?” she asked while staring at Yonghwa’s photo on her bedside table

“Are you free?” he answered reluctantly “Let’s go out.” He continued

She scratched her nape and winced “Uhmn… where are we going?” she asked after an awkward pause

“How about we go to an amusement park?” he asked after thinking thoroughly “I’ll pick you up then?” he continued hopeful

“Arasso” she nodded as though he can see her “I’ll wait for you” she said before she ended the call.

Shin Hye looked at the mirror and smiled bitterly “Is this our last date then?” she thought before she dolled up herself

She was done with her make-up and now combing her curls while waiting for Yonghwa when the door bell rang. She checked out her reflection for the last time before she opened the door.

“You want to come in first? Or are we going?” she asked him while he was studying her from head to toe

He shook his head “We’ll go ahead” he said “You look gorgeous” he said with a smile

She smiled, glad that he still find her that way “I may be the class muse but I don’t have enough talent for me to follow you to the entertainment industry.” She pouted as they walk their way to the bus stop

“You’re not a stalker, are you?” he said which made them both chuckle.

Yonghwa has been meaning to break up but he doesn’t have the courage to do so. Looking at Shin Hye beside him on the bus, he sighed silently. He felt like a coward. He leaned his head upward eyes closed and again sighed. “Otoke?” he thought

He felt Shin Hye held his hand gently “Oppa, kwenchana?” she asked concern in her voice.

He thought he saw pain in her eyes but when he looked at her intently it was gone. “Was it my imagination?” he asked himself before he answered “Don’t mind oppa. I’m fine.” He smiled “We’ll have to enjoy this trip together first. I’ll think of a way later.” He thought to himself that made him a little more settled

Shin Hye wanted to enjoy her day with Yonghwa so she opted to hide her true feelings. “Come what may.” She thought and sighed

They played at the amusement park happily. They rode every single ride available; they laughed, ate and took sticker photos as remembrance.

After dinner, hands in his pockets while looking down and Shin Hye holding her purse tightly with both hands, they walk silently and slowly to her apartment. The night is about to end.

Yonghwa sighed “How am I going to say this?” he thought in frustration

Shin Hye knew it was coming, she looked at him silently and said “H-how’s Joo Hyun?” she felt someone has crushed her heart from inside

Yonghwa looked at her and gave her a quizzical look before he answered “She’s fine.. I guess.” He clenched his teeth as he remembered Chanyeol. Scratching his forehead he took a deep breath “It’s now or never!” he thought “Listen.. U-uri..” he paused and cleared his throat

“Arayo.” She said while looking down a sad smile on her face

Yonghwa’s brows furrowed in confusion “Huh? Arayo?” he said

“I know.. it’s because of Joo Hyun right?” she looked up tears brimming her eyes but she willed not to let it fall “You’re breaking up with me because of her right?” she repeated it clearly now since it seems Yonghwa was at loss

Confused, Yonghwa stopped walking abruptly “What are you saying? We are not even speaking with each other. Why would she be the reason?” he demanded

Shin Hye let out a loud sigh “YAH, PABOYA?!” she said while pushing his forehead with her index finger, frustrated she did not know whether to laugh or cry “YOU LOVE HER!” she yelled on his clueless face “YOU LOVE SEO JOO HYUN!!” she emphasized, now tears fell freely, she wiped them carelessly while walking a few steps away from him, hands on her hips “You’re making me insane, sinchaaa!!” she calmed herself by taking deep breaths and walked back, she shook her head while watching his expression “I guess this is goodbye.” She said silently “Thank you for the happy memories. I’ll keep them forever in my heart” she tiptoed to give him a kiss “Goodbye” she then turned leaving the stoned Yonghwa behind

Yonghwa was stunned after he heard what Shin Hye has said. He stood there confused all memories of Joo Hyun came rushing in.

Realization shot him like lightning. He felt his body became numb all over. He sat on the gutter and covered his face. He felt ashamed of himself; other people told him what he truly feels. “Why didn’t I realize it?” he asked himself

He thought what he felt for Joo Hyun was natural, he cares for her and he gets jealous if other gets her attention, they’re childhood friends. He was accustomed to it since childhood.

She was always comfortable to be with, with her he can be his true self.

And he was attracted to Shin Hye, she was and is really beautiful, he felt he should impress her with his every move. He felt something inside him stir when they looked at each other. And he felt proud when she became his girlfriend; he knew everyone in class envied him.

He sat crunched as he was dazed “What should I do now?” he felt helpless. He stood up and started to walk to Joo Hyun’s apartment pondering over what he should do.
