Three ladies standing on stage stood like a manikin a smile plastered on their face as they wait for the verdict.
“The second runner up goes to Alyaaaa Jung-ssi!” the MC announced. Lydaroro stood up and awarded the sash and crown.
“Our beautiful ladies here must be nervous.” The other MC said after awhile “Now let’s announce 1st runner up. And it goes to….!!!!” She paused and looked at the audience “Who do you think is the 1st runner up?” she asked
“Soshi5, Soshi5, Soshi5!” the audience chanted
“And you’re right, 1st runner up goes to Soshi5 Kim!” the MC yelled
Right after they crowed the 1st runner up the audience chanted “Joo Hyun! Joo Hyun! Joo Hyun!”
Joo Hyun held her breath; she shot Yonghwa a quick glance before she shifted her gaze at at Chanyeol and gave him a nervous smile.
Yonghwa was waiting for Joo Hyun to look at him, he has been meaning to catch her eyes but to his dismay she only gave him a glance not longer than a second. “Why is she doing this?”
He thought then again remembered the kiss they shared, and shook it off as soon as he realized what has happened
“But before we announce the Miss GHS please welcome our Miss GHS 2013 Yura Kim for her final walk!” the MC introduced and her voice message started together with the soothing music, walked fluid-like giving the audience her brightest smile.
“Thank you to all the sponsors for tonight’s affair. This is MC Suzy” the MC said after the walk
“And this is MC Jinwoon. Thank you to the judges Mr. Lim, Ms. Kim and Ms. Hong!” he waived and looked at the result that has just been given to him
“For the most awaited moment, our new Miss GHS goes to…. Seo Joo Hyun!!!!” the MC’s voice erupted through the four pillars of the stadium “Please give her a round of applause! And to crown our Miss GHS are the judges together with the Miss SHS 2013.”
Both hands covered her mouth in shock; she has not expected that she would win the title. Her eyes welled as she looked at all the people that are giving her support and are happy with the result.
Chanyeol wanted to come up on stage when he heard Joo Hyun won, if not for Kwanghee who stopped him from doing so.
“Omo! I was not expecting this.” She started and cleared her throat “Thank you for all those who believed in me and supported me especially to my family and my friends Hyoyeon, Chanyeol, Kwanghee….” She wiped her tears and looked at Yonghwa “And Yonghwa” she smiled sadly and swallowed hard before she continued “Thank you very much” she waived and she started her walk.

They were taking pictures to commemorate the night when one of the judges approached them “Excuse me, Seo Joo Hyun-ssi” she said while looking at her and then to Chanyeol “Chanyeol-ssi, I’m Ms Hong from SM entertainment” she handed her card
Joo Hyun and Chanyeol looked at each other and bowed while receiving her card. “Annyeohaseyo!” they both said
“Your dance earlier caught my eyes. You two are very gifted.” She gave them a heart warming smile
“Kamsahamnida!” they beamed
“I’d like to recruit you to join our company.” She started “You can call me if you are interested. My contact numbers are there.” She continued
They both looked at the card and nodded “Aiyesimnida” they said in unison
“I’ll wait for your call then. Please think about it and consider.” She shook their hands and left
As they watched her retreating back they nudged and looked at each other in amazement. Joo Hyun squealed when she confirmed she was gone. Chanyeol’s smile spread on his face while they jumped excitedly while holding each other’s hands.
Yonghwa looked on what has happened. He was happy for her but he was sad and irritated because he was ignored by Joo Hyun the whole time after he congratulated her. “What has gotten into her, just after she kissed me and now this?!” he thought
Her family and friends are busy packing her belongings in the dressing room while Joo Hyun took her time changing into street clothes inside the bathroom. “Joo Hyun-ah! is it okay for you to be left here?” Her mother called from outside
“It’s okay omma. Just gather all those things with my friends and wait for me outside.” She replied
“Arasso. Take your time.” She then heard them leave the room
She washed her face thoroughly with soap and water when she heard the door opened, she stopped and looked at the bathroom door expectantly “Omma?” she called but nobody answered, she listened for a while and when she heard nothing she just shrug and continued what she was doing.
She looked at her reflection in the mirror and touched her lips “My first kiss.” She thought and smiled bitterly, she wiped the tears that flowed down and put on a strong face “I’ll totally forget.” She willed herself. She went out the bathroom after she put on a light make-up and was startled when someone spoke as soon as she stepped out.
“Why are you doing this?” Yonghwa was leaning on the wall near the bathroom door hands on his pocket; he gave her a questioning look
“Omo!” she turned to look who spoke “You startled me!” she said her hands on her chest
“Why are you doing this?” he repeated “Why are you ignoring me, after all that has happened.” He continued
“Don’t!” she stopped him “Don’t remind me of that mistake ever again.” She said in a fierce voice
“MISTAKE?” he echoed “You kissing me were a mistake?” he said hurt evident on his eyes
“Yes. And I’m sorry about it.” She said looking down on her shoes “Just… just… never mind.” She shook her head
“Just WHAT?!” he approached her and held her shoulders ready to shake those words out of her mouth
“Just.. get out of my life.” She took his hands on her shoulder and turned to leave wiping her tears discretely
Yonghwa was stoned upon hearing the hurtful words his best friend has said. Tears came flowing without him noticing. He willed his feet to move and ran after her but he was too late. She saw her leaving with Chanyeol and her family, chatting happily.
“Joo Hyun-ah where is Yonghwa?” he overheard her mom asked
“I don’t know. Maybe he’s with his girlfriend Shin Hye.” She replied and cling her arm to Chanyeol’s, her mom nodded in understanding
