Chapter 6

His eyes slowly opened, and he blinked his blurriness away. Someone shook him and he flinched at the touch.

"Get up. The king wants to see you." The servant pretty much was rough, and he could just nod and slip out of the room. But not without first eating an apple on the way to Uther. He just had to eat something, or he would pass out. But it wasn't making him less scared. His heart was thundering, and he was feeling really scared now. He gave the knights a bow and then he ended up entering.

Uther gave him a critical look and eyes were not friendly at all. "I heard what happened in the meeting and I am not pleased at all. Sir Colton was not pleased. You were rude to him."

Dammit. He couldn't even explain himself. This wasn't fair and all he could do was swallow hard. "One more slips up and you will put into the dungeon, do you understand?" He bowed and then gave a nod.

"Good, your excused." He walked out and felt the tears prick. This wasn't fair. He had not even done something. So, he walked into the room of Will, without regard of him being awake or not. His hand shook someone.

With his blurry sight he couldn't' even see who it was. The person groaned and soon sat up. "Hey, you alright?" This was Nico's voice and he sounded really soft and concerned. This was making him cry now.

"Ngh, Nico was goin' on?" A sleepy voice called out. The voice was from Will and as soon as he saw his state, he felt himself being pulled into a hug. At first, he flinched but soon hugged back. By now tears rolled down and he sobbed hard. Even when there was no sound it was clear that something upset him. Ten minutes later he was calmer, but still upset.

"Did you have a nightmare?" His head shook at this, because it wasn't the nightmare who upset him but Uther.

"Yesterday I angered someone who was in the council. The male didn't believe that I was mute and well he pretty much went to the king. Now I am on a warning and one more slip up and I end up in the dungeon." Will looked pissed off and Nico too. Both had a silent conversation and nodded then.

"Well let's get to Arthur then."

"We are new knights and Uther won't believe us anyway but with the help of the Prince, Uther has to listen."

Both said, and he could just nod. The entire way an arm was around his shoulder and he stumbled a few times. His eyes still red and he was sure that people could tell that he had been crying. A knock was given towards the door and soon footsteps scrambled towards the entrance. It took one minute for it to open and then Merlin was seen.

"I was wondering where you have been. You alright?" He shook his head but not even saying anything on his mind.

"Sorry for the early notice but we need to have a talk with Arthur." Will's voice was serious, and it was clear that he was upset about something.

"Well come in you three then." The prince husky yet sleepy voice was heard. As they stepped inside his heart almost had a heart attack. Arthur was half naked and damn these muscles. But he wasn't that much of his type, more Percy was.

This reminded him of that accidental kiss. A kiss that was making him instantly feel the heat creep up. So that he had push that thought away.

"This is outrageous. Hikaru didn't even do anything wrong. Give me one moment, Merlin help in my clothes and we are going."

True to his word not even 10 minutes later, Merlin, Arthur, Nico, Will and him where in front of the king. He was near to Will and practically latching on the male, that was how terrified he was.

"Father, Hikaru didn't do anything. What sir Colton was the one who is doing injustice. He can't talk and there is no voice nothing. He is genuine mute and calling him a liar is not alright." His voice held authority and Uther looked at him closely. His body shrunk down and swallowed hard. A few hand signs he gave towards Will.

"Yes, it's true. I can't really just sign yes, sire, because this person doesn't understand this language." Will nodded and translated it towards Uther. The male looked at him more closely and nodded.

"He could be lying and its your word against his." Uther said and held the same authority.

"Bullshit. I was there, even Gwaine, Lancelot, Elyan and Mordred. They all can back this up. So that it isn't just your son's and my friend's words against his, but way more people." Merlin was looking straight into the eyes of Uther and he was silent for a moment.

"Alright, then let's hear them out." In the end, Sir Colton ended up with a warning and he continued to work the rest of the day. At least he got to know the knights better and even his new made friend and his brother. The male translated and sometimes even Merlin. It was fun and he was feeling relatively at ease with everyone. But all good things came to an end.

Two weeks later his first time he would work for someone else and he wasn't liking it. The male had the same aura as mrs. Miley. The female who belonged the orphanage.

And soon realized that it had a good reason for this...
