Chapter 9

His attention was constantly on his father. The male was a god and having his favorite god here was distracting. An because of this he tripped on a tree root. His body would have fallen, wouldn't it be for the reflexes of both people next to him.

"You alright?" Both were heard asking this simultaneously and he could just nod at this. It was strange at how similar the two were, other than one was occasionally letting out Haikus which he had no idea what they were.

"Alright, I noticed you that your attention shifts towards me, want to tell me why?" Apollo sounded both curious yet amused.

This was making him feel the heat creep up and he starting to play with his sleeves. //That is really em-embarrassing for me, but I always found your myth the most interesting. I just- well your kind of my idol so...//

His cheeks felt even more heated up at this and it sounded weird saying this now to a good. Apollo looked at him closely and grinned brightly. He felt himself in a sudden hug. Not something he expected but he wasn't minding this. 

"Well thank you. This makes me super happy." The male sounded genuine happy, euphoric even and he could just hug him back. The hug soon left, and Apollo was beaming the entire time when they walked. Will grinned at him and he felt his cheeks even more flush.

"In all the times I have seen him- right now he looked the happiest person on earth," Will whispered and he could just feel a warmth now. It was always something that he loved. Seeing people smile was not easy when you're shy but he always tried to make the kids in the orphanage happy.

Even after two hours, he was beaming, and his smile was bright. He couldn't help but stare at his father. The male was really happy, and he started to ask some questions about his likes and all. He was surprised but answered them happily. He even forgot about what happened, and he felt at ease.

"One second I hear someone coming. Let's hide." Apollo sudden called out and they all hid on behind different trees. His heart thundered as he remembered the last time, he got almost kidnapped. There was as well the fact that it was now that he felt slightly lightheaded.

This meant that he would need food soon. But right now, that could wait. Because they could be bandits. Not the best thing to think of because now he felt even more anxious. Or worse it could be the female from before.

"Can you all just shut up!" A male voice barked out. One that sounded familiar, Nico.

"Nico is right. We just need to work together." This time it was Percy who talked, and he breathed out. His legs gave in and with a thud he was on the ground, panting. His breathing slowly calmed down.

"I agree with the two. Anyway, did you hear this?" Another voice said. Lancelot sounded tense and he breathed out. His legs were shaky, but he slowly stood up and walking out now. Not even a minute after this, a two black blur tackled him into a tight hug. This led to him falling down.

"God I am so glad you're safe." Merlin sounded relieved.

"You had me worried sickly for you." The next person was Percy. The male sounded as relived. And he felt awkward not to mention his body subconsciously flinched at first until he relaxed. The hug was soon left, and he was pulled on his legs. Nico and Will were still hugging, and he could see Will whisper something into Nico's ears. The teen looked shaken up.

"How did you escape?" Merlin asked and he was fidgeting as a feeling of anxiousness bubbled up. It wasn't really intentional. Well, let's just say that he started to panic. He had no idea why but this seemed to trigger something.

"...-ight?" His mind was occupied with something else and he hadn't even realized that someone was asking him this. It was as if he was back at that cell. Back chained up, and back at that female. Back at her torturing him.

"Hikaru, you need to follow my voice." A steady hand was on his shoulder and someone saying this. It was soothing and the hand felt warm. "Come on, Hikaru you're not there anymore. You are in the forest." Slowly his sight cleared, and he panted heavily.

His heart was thundering in his chest and he scrambled towards the tree and throwing up his entire food. Someone was rubbing his back and his hair was put aside. This person was whispering reassuring words, but his mind was still not really focused.

Afterward, he felt himself being carried a bit more away. His body leaned into the touch and even snuggled into it. The person felt really comfortable warm. Soon he was put down and he could finally focus.

"You back now?" A nod was all he could muster and god he felt exhausted. His eyes dropped a few times.

"What happened?" A new voice asked but he just wanted to sleep, which in the end he has done. Too exhausted to really care about anything.

A nudge woke him up and his eyes slowly opened now. His body was feeling way better but he felt lightheaded more. In front of him, was Apollo again.

"You should eat something." His gaze went around to see that it was by now evening and a fire was around. Slowly he sat up and nodded as he felt a bowl in front of him.

//Thanks, Dad// It wasn't even intentional, but it slipped out before he could even stop him, but he wasn't really caring. Because this person was his father, god or not doesn't matter to him. He ate the food and realized how hungry he was. Even had to eat two apples.

"Alright, your blood pressure should be back to normal," Apollo noted and everyone gave him a puzzled look at this.

"That's good then. But we still check his glucose." It was Will who said this and almost warningly. Which was making sense because as Apollo was still here undercover and this could ruin it. So, he took a slight sting was felt and Will hummed pleasingly.

"All good. You can go back to sleep." He was exhausted but really wasn't wanting to sleep. He just found the others and they were chatting with each other. Will went back to Nico and they cuddled but had a playful banter, Percy was talking with Gwaine about something.

Lancelot listening and sometimes added. Leon was silent but listening as well. And then there was Merlin and Arthur. The two had a playful banter as well and he couldn't help but have his lips twitched up slightly. This all felt really chaotic and it was really feeling like family.

"You should rest. I know that you want to join them, but your blood sugar was really low. Wouldn't want it to get worse again." He pouted and really wasn't wanting to sleep. Which was why his father probably starting to hum softly. His voice was calming and adding with him going to his hair, he couldn't help but slowly fall asleep again.

But his sleep wasn't peaceful. Nightmares plagued them and he woke up more than once. With Apollo being the first to react and calming him down instantly. This went on for the entire night, and well it was exhausting.
