This Time with Feelings Part 2

"So, Stiles, how did you meet Derek?" Talia asked as they all hung out by the pool while they waited for the food to arrive.

"Oh, we met at Mrs. Boyd's Flower shop. He was buying flowers for Laura's birthday." Stiles smiled at the memory.

Alec was playing with Bruce and James, Derek's Dad.

"Ah... Those flowers were really nice." Stiles said fondly as he glanced at Derek, who was busy watching Alec play with his Dad and Bruce. It sent shivers down his spine at how comfortable his pup was with Derek's family, like they really belong. He still has doubts with how fast their relationship was going but Derek makes things easier... he thinks.

"Papa, look at Brucie!" Alec squealed at the sight of Derek's dog jumping into the pool, "Wanna swim with Brucie, Papa! Can I? Can I? Please!" The child asked as he gave Derek those big green eyes and it took less than two seconds for him to agree.

The women and Stiles laughed at Derek, with Laura saying, "A five-year-old has you wrapped up in his little finger, Der-bear! This is precious!"

"Shut up, Laura. We both know that even if Alec doesn't ask, you'll do it anyway." Derek said as he got Alec out of his clothes and now, he was standing beside the kiddie pool in his Batman briefs.

"Papa, you should swim too! Daddy, you too!" Alec said as he walked to the kiddie pool and slowly dipped his foot into the water. Bruce barked as he paddled near the boy. Alec eventually submerged half his body and played with the dog.

James rolled up his pants and took off his shoes as he sat by the pool with his feet submerged into the water. Derek did the same and played with his pup.

Stiles took out his phone and snapped a photo of the four of them enjoying pool time and then decided to send it to Allison and Scott.

"Oh, how precious. It's the first time I've seen my son enjoy someone's company this much. I suppose I should thank you, Stiles." Talia said as she watched her family enjoy.

Stiles turned pink in embarrassment and said, "It's not... I was also in trying to get back up before I met your son. Five  years ago, I was in a bad place and waiting for Alec to be born was my only source of happiness. I was so grateful when I met Scott, Allison, Boyd and his family five years ago. They became my family when I had no one else to support me... Then I met Derek... meeting him felt so right and I think I should thank you for giving birth to the man I could definitely see a future with... So, thank you, Talia."

Talia smiled and then stood up, she wrapped her arms around Stiles and said, "My family is your family, Stiles. I will love you as I love my children. Thank you for making my son happy, Stiles."

"Hey! Gamma and Daddy are hugging! I wan' a hug too!" Alec suddenly got out of the pool and walked towards them, leaving Derek, James, Laura and Bruce.

Alec joined in the cuddle fest and soon everyone wanted a hug.

When night came, Stiles and Derek slept in Derek's room while Alec slept in Derek's childhood room near Talia and James' room and for some reason, wherever Alec goes, Bruce goes with him. It was quite a sight.

As Derek and Stiles laid next to  each other, the young Omega couldn't help but feel nervous. Partly because other than cuddle each other to death and sleep in each other's arms, they haven't done anything past the groping and kisses, no handjobs or anything like that.

"You don't have to be nervous. We don't have to do anything yet, unless you want to." Derek reassured him as he wrapped his strong arms around his Omega's waist then pulled him closer, nuzzling the young man's hair.

Stiles burrowed his head into Derek's neck and inhaled the Alpha's scent and said, "I'm not ready yet... I still have some issues I need to work out... But know this, I love you and I am thankful in having you in my life."

Derek's arms tightened around him, "I love you too, Stiles. Always."
