Happy New Year's! To celebrate, here's the other story I was telling you about. It was also an embedded assessment, and I had to write an original myth using my own characters. Here's a brief explanation of their personalities and who they are.
Floria is the main character who tells the story. She doesn't pay enough attention to her surroundings and instead has her attention on her animal friends. She has black hair and brown eyes and is the goddess of nature. Best friends with Sanion and Pecia.
Sanion has blond hair and brown eyes and is the god of sand. He likes to mess around with his friends, but he also has a secret about one of them that's revealed in this story.
Pecia is the goddess of peace and likes to tease Floria about Sanion. But, little did she know about the truth of Sanion's feelings.
Well, here's the story.
The Desert Animals' Dilemma
I was almost completely satisfied with my creation. As I strolled along the river, I noticed that most of my animal friends were happy with their homes. They were frolicking inside the forest, near the beach, and in the river. The sun was dancing to the swaying of the trees, and the sky was filled with fluffy marshmallows that you could reach out and grab. However, throughout all the cheerfulness and fun, I caught many glimpses of bickering and arguing between friends. I realized that I had to do something, but what could even a goddess do when nothing can be done?
Two hours ago... I was admiring the beautiful scenery that had unfolded before me with my best friend, Sanion. Everything looked like it had been painted by the goddess Athena, with its brightly glowing sunflowers sprouting up as far as the eye could see, cuddly, playful squirrels scampering this way and that, and the close- knitted owls and beavers that were fighting animatedly.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," I gasped. "What's happening?"
However, at the same time, Sanion mumbled, "Hmm... those sunflowers could match my golden hair..."
"SANION!" I screamed, startling him. "What are you doing?!"
"What? I was just thinking about those beautiful sunflowers that you created, Floria. Is something wrong?"
Sighing, I replied, "San, are you even watching the animals? Look near where the river is."
"I don't see anything." Sanion started to stagger around like he was blind. "Love has blinded me! But, it sounds like it's important. What happened?"
"Ugh, really San? This time, the beavers and the owls are fighting. C'mon, let's go talk to Pecia. She should be able to calm them down, since she's the goddess of peace," I groaned, realizing that we'd have to travel all the way to Mt. Olympus.
"Ok, Floria... But you talk to me like I'm your servant, so now you need to make me happy again," Sanion pouted.
"Like..?" I asked.
"Hmm... how about a kiss?"
