You were just waking up, the sun behind the mountains and the night sky falling onto the land of Hyrule. The sound of crickets outside as your window was open letting the chilling air inside your room.
Groaning while getting your head off the pillow, you wonder why you always wake up this early in the morning. Barely anyone was ever awake at this hour. Sitting up you rub your eyes before you start to stretch feeling a few of your bones popping. You put your hands to your side after your done stretching forcing yourself to get up from the bed.
You turn your head noticing that the window was open, and start walking towards the it shutting it. Making your way to your closet, you put something decent on before brushing your [h/l], [h/c] hair. After finishing refreshing up you opened and closed the door to your room, you head down the hallway going to the gardens. You've always loved the gardens, it was always so peaceful being around so many flowers, it calmed you. Its the only thing you love about this place. Its not like you don't like your family, but you just don't like being around royalty, everyone is so formal. Honestly you would rather live a commoners life than a royals. Being a commoner means people aren't always bowing down to your feet, never have to go to Banquet Balls that your always forced to attend, and no one will notice you if your walking the streets of your town. Nodding your head agreeing with yourself that that's the life you want to live. You force yourself out of your thoughts when you realize that you made it to the entrance of the gardens. Walking in, you make your way to the bench you always sit on when coming in here. Before sitting down you decided to look around at all the beautiful flower flowing with the breeze in the night sky. Sitting down you let out a sigh closing your eyes as start to relax, going back to the thoughts you were thinking about when making your way over here. While in your own world, you didn't realize the footsteps that were starting to approach.
"What are you doing up so early princess?" Opening your eyes you looked over to the figure standing a few feet away from you. Admiral Barrett, he's been a soldier for my father ever since he joined the knight when he turned 14. My father was clearly impressed by him making his way up the ranks fairly quickly. He still is quite young, seeming to be around his mid 30's.
"Just getting some fresh air that is all." you reply back with a smile on your face. You and the Admiral were no strangers to each other. You've always loved the sight of a sword in action. You always wanted to know how to use a sword. You secretly asked him to teach you how to use a sword. The first time you brought it up he really thought it was a joke, but seeing the look of admiration in your eyes he realized that you were serious. It took some persuading, eventually he taught you but in secret. No one but him knows that you know how to use a sword
"This early in the morning?" he asked with an eyebrow raised. "I just suddenly woke up this early in the morning not being able to go back to sleep, so I decided to go visit the gardens". You say while standing up and while facing him looking up.
"Ah I see..." he said trailing off "So how have you've been princess?" he asked with a small smile. Your smile on your grew wider as you replied. "I've been great, how about you?" you asked. "I've been doing well too princess." he said with the small smile still on his face. "So why are you out here, Your shift ended hours ago." The Admiral was surprised you knew this. You were 12, you were just a kid?! How did you know such things? But thinking about he shouldn't be surprised. You've always seemed to be sharp, and he could agree that you were an undoubtedly a smart kid. You were one to be able to pick things up easily mentally or physically.
"Well whenever I'm not on duty, I think it would be a good time train don't you think princess?" He said while stretching. "I mean sure but this early in the morning?" You said with your eyebrows scrunched. He chuckled, "Your up this early in the morning." He said with a grin on his face. Crossing your arms you looked away from him while pouting. Laughing he walked up to you and patted you on the back "I'm just messing with you kid."
Looking up at him you cover your eyes as the sun that finally has decided to come up from over the mountains. The Admiral noticing turning around also covering his eyes, "Ah the sun is finally up." he said. "It seems so" you replied back. Turning back around the Admiral looked down back at you. "Everyone will start waking up soon, would you allow me to escort you back to your room princess?" He asked with a smile. "Of course" you said returning the smile.
While he escorted you back to your room neither of you talked. The only noise heard was the sound of both of your footsteps, the silence was comfortable. When you both reach the door to your the Admiral bows with a farewell before walking off, you say your goodbyes as well before entering your room going to get ready for the day.
